House Saladcast 1029 - Do you know Juno
Storytellers / Jazz on Toast / Burnin' to Blue
    Berlin, Germany
Do You Know Juno is a vinyl DJ whose sets unfold as carefully crafted stories, rooted in jazz and shaped by the enduring legacies of Detroit and Chicago dance music. Drawing from spiritual and fusion jazz, disco, broken beat, soulful house, acid, and contemporary nu-jazz, she blends deep musicality with rhythmic precision and emotional depth. Anchored in jazz phrasing, improvisation, and swing, Juno treats each record as a narrative element, moving fluidly between live instrumentation and machine rhythms, warm harmonies and raw grooves. Her sound bridges timeless dance music traditions with a contemporary sensibility, creating journeys that are soulful, timeless and forward-looking. Since arriving in Berlin in 2024, Juno has rapidly established herself as a rising presence within the city's music community, securing a steady stream of bookings across clubs, cultural spaces, and multitudes of listening environments. Her distinctive approach has led her to share lineups with artists including Craig Smith, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Dan Shake, Detroit Techno Militia, DJ Jus-Ed and more.
Alongside her DJ work, she curates and hosts events such as Storytellers, Jazz on Toast, and Burnin' to Blue, through thoughtful curation and a deep respect for dance culture and the musical traditions that continue to inspire her work.

  • PREMIERE: L.F.D. - Fire Drums II [World Beats]
    #hsmpremiere
    Artist: L.D.F.
    Track: Fire Drums II
Release Title: World Beats Vol. 2
    Label: World Beats
    Cat No: WB02
    Format: Vinyl and digital
    Genre: House, Deep House
    Release Date: July 9th
    Buy / Pre Order: https://basicframe.it/home/645-WB02.html
Lello Di Franco aka L.D.F. leans fully into his curatorial instincts here, and the result is less a traditional “producer ep” and more a cohesive, late-night DJ narrative. World Beats Vol. 2 doesn’t try to grab you instantly it unfolds, patiently, like a deep set in a small, packed club where the focus is on groove rather than spectacle. The collaborations are the real backbone: Byron the Aquarius injects looseness and jazz DNA his touch is immediately recognizable in the swung rhythms and slightly off-grid keys. These moments feel alive, almost jam-session-like. Tilman brings polish and restraint. His contributions tend to be more hypnotic, smoothing transitions and keeping the flow meditative. Trinidadian Deep adds emotional weight his Afro-deep sensibility introduces warmth and a sense of space that elevates the project beyond pure club functionality. Fire Drums II close the ep, an electronic/percussive track with a tribal and hypnotic feel. It combines intense drum rhythms with dance and worldbeat sounds, creating an energetic and ritualistic atmosphere. World Beats Vol. 2 is a refined, deeply musical project aimed at listeners who value texture, groove, and atmosphere over instant hooks. It’s less about standout singles and more about immersion.

  • PREMIERE: Echopilot - Be like me [Morris Audio]
    #hsmpremiere
    Artist: Echopilot
    Track: Be like me
    Release title: Emptiness (2026 remixes)
    Label: Morris Audio
    Release date: 03-Jul-26
    Buy: https://morrisaudio.bandcamp.com/
It was 2003 when Morris Audio launched the sublabel Morris Audio Citysport Edition. The first release was Echopilot’s „Fragile EP“, described by Paul Dailey as „taking one part minimal Richie Hawtin and one part quirky Derrick Carter and one part silky Timewriter and blending them together into a deep, minimal concoction. Simple rhythms, eclectic (and sometimes disturbing) vocal samples, jazzy stabs and a ton of atmosphere come together to take you on a journey through the mind of a mad scientist. This is about as funky and tricked out as anything you are likely to hear.“
23 years later, we re-present the sound of Echopilot with the original of „Emptiness“ and some special remixes (plus parts of the original artwork): Echopilot (Bernhard Pucher) himself with a 26 version and Morris buddies Simon Hinter and Robert Frederick to make „Emptiness“ eternal! As a bonus, there’s
also the track „Be like me“ from Echopilot’s second EP on Morris Audio Citysport from 2004!

Release title: Welcome To My Channel
    Label: Rhythm Section International

The Club Cowgirl label founder has been active since 2020 and has become a vital part of the UK scene, having held a residency at the capital’s The Cause and hosted shows on BBC Radio 1 and 6, alongside appearances at institutions such as Glastonbury and fabric. Her productions have landed on her own label, Kerri Chandler’s Kaoz Theory, Demi Riquismo’s Semi Delicious, and now Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section.
Scarlett O’Malley’s ‘Welcome To My Channel’ EP has a distinct, fun-first approach, tight arrangements, and tasteful nods to the old-school. It’s a four-tracker marked by irresistible basslines ranging from subs to squelch, infectious House grooves, and with O’Malley’s penchant for playful vocal sampling on full display. The result is an EP comprised of high-grade, party-starting cuts, built for the dancefloor but holding their own well beyond it.
Founded by Bradley Zero in 2009 as a radio show and event series, Rhythm Section International evolved into a label in 2014 and has since become renowned for championing and developing the careers of talented artists like Chaos in the CBD, dreamcastmoe, Neue Grafik, and many more. Rooted in South London and followed worldwide, the collective also hosts a long-running NTS Radio show, has staged over 150 events since 2011, and expanded in 2022 by launching its Future Proof mentorship programme.
