Welcome  Wayward Ones! This month we're deep diving into the rise of Occultism in Victorian society, one of Lu's favorite subjects to talk about! We'll be getting into mediums, seances, literature and the birth of spiritualism.

The Encyclopedia Britannica defines Occultism as “various theories and practices involving a belief in and knowledge or use of supernatural forces or beings” and describes the “aspects of occultism that appear to be common to all human societies (as) divination, witchcraft and alchemy…” while the latin root, occoltus, simply means “knowledge of the hidden.”

What better way to kick off the season! Make sure to like, subscribe and leave reviews; it means so much to us! Blessed be and remember, mind your cauldron!

Welcome Back Wayward Witches and Devilish Darlings,
Our Mistress of Lore and Honorary Mother of Mayhem, Kailey Diaz, is back again for another exciting folklore-filled installment of Housecraft - The Witching Hour.

This episode we narrowed our usually vast field down so that we could dive even deeper into our topic at hand, and dive we did. Today we will be exploring the unfathomable depths of the Mediterranean and facing the magnificent, mythological monsters we find there. Greek lore is a particular favorite of our Mothers of Mayhem, and we believe it shows in this episode!

Tune in for Herculean adventures, the monstrous maw and her serpentine sister, and  beguiling siren songs and the sailors who survive them.
