The time was 1935. The place, Kansas City. A unassuming young man checks into the President Hotel, for what was supposed to be a one night stay. Over the next couple of days, odd occurrences would unfold from multiple voices being heard from his room to Roland himself, being brutally beaten. But as time goes on, the layers to this onion only deepen with cryptic phone calls and delivered messages to someone from Roland's past coming forward to turn this case on its ear, making it one of Kansas City's oldest unsolved mysteries.  

Kara Kopetsky and Jessica Runions, two girls from Missouri; living their lives, going to school and work, hanging out with friends, and they had their whole lives ahead of them. Neither one of these girls were friends or even knew each other, but they would have one common denominator that would bring them together, falling for the same man. 

In 2007, Kara was dating Kylr Yust. As many relationships go, she tried to end things, but he wasn't having it. It was at this time Kara would go missing and her case would go cold, but not forgotten. 

As time goes on, Kylr is living his life and in 2016, he meets Jessica Runions. They start dating, they go to a house party, and she is never seen again. It isn't long before Kylr is in police custody for related charges. When not serving time in prison or trying to escape from prison, Charles Ray Hatcher's violence stretches through numerous states, killing whenever the opportunity presented itself. The time was 2014. The place, Westfield New Jersey. Derek and Maria Broaddus was in the market for a newer and bigger home. After some searching, they were able to find their "dream home" with more than enough space for them and their children and in the town where Maria grew up. But their happiness and elation of their new home was short lived when they started receiving dark and ominous letters from a person calling themself, "The Watcher." As they attempt to make renovations and move in, the letters continue to come and the nature of the letters becomes more frightening. The time was 2006. The place, New York.  Its days before Imette's 25th birthday. Her and her best friend hit the town for a night of fun and drinking. As the night goes on, Imettte closes down the bar by herself. She last seen alive with an employee from the last bar she made it to and then hours later her body is found dumped in an area that is dark, desolate, and miles from where she was last seen. What happened to her after she left the bar?
