Last July, former Seattle mayor Jenny Durkin made an announcement in the face of increasing gun violence. Seattle was making an investment: $2 million in the King County Regional Peacekeepers Collective.
Staff and leadership of these organizations did not consistently undergo background checks and a convicted sex offender with apparently fake credentials is running a member organization in the collective.
