How do you do that?

Bodie Howell is an artist, he creates zines, collages, poems and is the creator of the One Way Letter Project. Emily chats to Bodie about what it feels like to not fit in with some people’s definition of an artist and how Bodie has invented new ways to get his art to the people. We find out how through self-belief and a big idea, you can be heard.

This week’s guest is Clare O’Hanlon, a librarian by day and an archivist by night. We’ll be chatting about their work at the Australian Queer Archives, referred to as Aqua throughout. We chat about how their two jobs inform one another. Plus what the Australian Queer Archives are, and their importance.

Larissa founded possum portraits which is a service that provides free perinatal portraits to grieving parents. We talk about why a service like this is so very important, not only to grieving loved ones but also to normalize conversation surrounding miscarriages, still births and perinatal death. We talk about how Larissa found herself in this sphere and the positive impacts her portraits have had for families, plus how she deals with the heart-breaking nature of what she does.
