“The most difficult thing is the decision to act. The rest is merely tenacity." I just love this quote from Amelia Earhart. It seems that so many who have overcome more than most despite the odds do so through sheer tenacity. Well, that and an inclination to look for and see beauty everywhere.
Cara is an artist I met when I lived in St Louis. I hope her story inspires you to look for, and see beauty everywhere. Check out her work here.
Anxiety. It's real, even before we were thrust into a global pandemic. Sarah Aborn is someone whose countenance exudes kindness. Her determination to help others deal with their own vulnerabilities and uncertainties shows up in her demeanor, her words and her choice of profession.
Sarah offers a number of ways to help deal with life's anxieties. In my conversation with Sarah she actually offers a sampling of EFT tapping. (Click here for external link) In fairness, we also mentioned Brianna Graves, originator and coordinator of Saga, a directory helping those with wellness issues find practitioners who can help.
Here's Sarah's web site and Facebook
"Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat."
F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Some say there is no such thing as a failure. Which is easy to say unless you feel as though you're failing. And if because of illness other circumstances out of control create upheaval in our lives (like a global pandemic), these can be felt as defeats which then can feel like failures. So how do we move forward? Some might say it's easy, you just move forward. For others, a little experienced, compassionate help would make all the difference.
Judy Blake is a life coach offering that support. Here's where you can find her: Judy's site; Facebook Email: j[email protected]
Today's episode makes mention of Brianna Graves, originator of Saga who has been a guest here in a previous episode. We also mention a New Hampshire musician whose name escaped me while I was recording but really deserves to be acknowledged...and heard! Here's a pile of Charlie Chronopoulos' music. I didn't have a chance to get Judy's portrait....hopefully I can rectify that soon. :) For now, enjoy a little natural beauty...It's morning fog in the park in historic Lafayette Square, St Louis, MO
Tricia Heed is a long-time resident of the Keene area. Having served the community as a teacher and now a spinning instructor she has found herself creating beauty. New to the world of entrepreneurship, Tricia is taking the seeming ordinary she sees around and creating unique pieces of art. Using sea glass from Europe, rocks from local rivers and beaches she has various lines of necklaces to show the beauty she sees around her. I had the privilege of photographing Tricia and love the images that resulted. The one here in the episode shows what I saw in her. When this is over I'd love to ask you - How Do You Want To Be Seen?
Imagine you're anxious. You need help. As you look on the typical search engines you're either encouraged at the many options or overwhelmed by them.
Other businesses mentioned or referred to in this episode include:

Think, Marketing Expert. What comes to mind? Advertising? Hashtags? Sales?
Me too.
But Emily, a marketing expert as well as creator & organizer of a women's network group and podcast both under the name, She Built this is not that kind of marketing expert. She uses her talents and skills to continue to build a community of women entrepreneurs to grow at whatever rate and scale they want. In her words she's 'on a mission to create the new norm', helping to build 'whatever this means to you'.
Like all of us, Emily has had to figure stuff out. Take decisions that weren't working and redesign them. And during this, a clearly challenging time, she has used her position as leader of this group of over 800 women to set the pace; calm, with no pretenses. Forward thinking but dealing with the now.
I've been wanting to work with Emily for some time. I'm so glad I had the opportunity. Listen to her podcast and see what she and a group of 800 women from New Hampshire to Australia are building.

I have a strict rule that all images on my work are created by me. Under the circumstances I have to go with that old adage about rules being made to be broken. Thank you to Kristin Hardwick Photography for this smiling portrait of Emily.
How familiar is this: 'I want to get paid for my talents but when it comes time to ask for my worth, I freeze. I just seem...incapable of getting paid what I'm worth'? If this rings true you need to hear this episode. Jeanne Demers knows this all too well and has developed the skills, the tools to help her readjust, rewire her thinking. Too good to be true? I know, I thought so too. Then I worked with Jeanne. It's still a work in progress, but there is progress. So much so that I've asked her to join me along with a group of other professionals to present at a How Do You Want To Be Seen In Your Business retreat. Click here for more information. And here's Jeanne's information.
