Title: Trapped

Narrator: J. J. Travis

Format: Unabridged

Length: 1 hr and 57 mins

Language: English

Release date: 06-29-17

Publisher: York Bound Publications

Publisher's Summary:

Trapped is the story of a single mother trying her best to raise three kids on her own, the best way that she can, while trying to manage some sort of a love life for herself. Trapped is the first installment in this series of books that will take you through the trials and tribulations of Zakia, a young woman who was on her way down a very dark and destructive path.

Kia tries her best to turn things around and become that strong example for her kids as to how they should live their lives. As Kia tries to change her own and her kids' lives for the better, she's constantly bombarded by changes and situations that threaten to take away her sanity.

Kia thinks she's strong enough to handle anything - but some things that happen to her make her wonder how strong she really is....

From Kareem

This Trapped series might easily be my best work to date. Every character has a purpose in the story and most will be connected to the big picture of the story when everything is said and done. You may not be able to see how instrumental the character is to the story at first glance, but believe me, by the time the story wraps up - you will see! As the series progresses, I think you will be surprised by how well everyone and everything connects!

A socialite's daughter, Carrie became a spy and agent provocateur for MI5 during the Second World War. But when British intelligence failed to investigate a dangerous traitor, she decided to take matters into her own hands.

Concerned that her grandmother's secret past has caught up with her, Annabel stays on to investigate. But the more she uncovers, the more difficult it becomes to know who to trust. There are strange incidents occurring at Beechwood, and Annabel must use all her ingenuity and daring to find Carrie before it's too late.

From the streets of Seville, Paris and London in the '30s and '40s to the modern English countryside, The Traitor's Girl is a captivating story of passion, intrigue and betrayal.

A Compelling Fabulous Story

This is a compelling story of intrigue, spies, danger betrayal and secrets that are finally going to come out years after the Second World War. It all starts when Annabel Logan gets a strange phone call from a woman claiming to be her grandmother Caroline Banks (Carrie) saying that she is in danger and needs her to travel from Australia England immediately and wow what a journey it is for Annabel, this one had me turning the pages with so much curiosity about what was going to happen, this is a story not to be missed.

Simon Colepeper is a journalist with secrets himself he has befriended Carrie and is learning all of her secrets for a book but when there are threats made against Carrie she flees and leaves Simon to protect Annabel, but Simon must be her bodyguard and not get close to her, you see Annabel is such a strong and caring woman and he is drawn to her strength and personality but there is a lot to uncover and danger lurking.

Annabel has arrived at her long lost grandmother Caroline Banksâs home Beechwood to find her gone she is met by firstly a goose then saved by journalist Simon Colepeper who helps her learn about Carrie and there is a lot to learn she listens to tapes and meets one of Carrieâs friends Eve who also helps with the past. Annabel and Simon do a lot of investigating to try and find out what danger Carrie thought she was in, was the past coming back to threaten her?

Where do I start this is such a fabulous story written so well the characters come to life on the pages, Russian spies, MI5 secret agents and what they all did and went through just before the war during it and after, lives and loves that are lost so much happening so many memories and heartache but above all a story that did have me smiling in the end Simon and Annabel had that pull from their first meeting goose and all and to see Annabel and Carrie finally a family together after what they had both been through was wonderful thank you MS Wells for another magical story that will stay will me for a long time to come, one for the keeper shelf.

Title: Three & Out

Subtitle: Queen of the League, Book 3

Author: Laura Chapman

Narrator: Annie Abate

Format: Unabridged

Length: 9 hrs and 40 mins

Language: English

Release date: 06-09-17

Publisher: Laura Chapman

Genres: Fiction, Contemporary

Publisher's Summary:

After rushing to the altar and moving across the country, Harper Duquaine (or is it MacLaughlin now?) is in uncharted territory. What once seemed like a promising opportunity to advance her husband's career while giving her some much-needed independence and adventure has proven to be a bust. By the time fall rolls around again, she's back in a boring job by day and overstocking her inventory of crocheted scarves by night. Not even the prospect of a new football season holds much excitement.

At least that's what she thought. Harper suddenly finds herself the manager of not one but two fantasy football teams - each with its own set of drama. Between the added pressure of her new marriage, an unexpected career prospect, and the hiccups created by people from her past and present worlds, Harper quickly finds herself going from bored to overwhelmed.

Can she hold up under the pressure, or will Harper learn the hard way that the turf isn't always greener on the other field?

Members Reviews:

Good Finish to Light-Hearted Series

Generally, I enjoyed this book. Three & Out caps off the Queen of the League Trilogy and ties all of the loose ends in a crowd-pleasing fashion.

Harper and Brook are starting their first year of marriage in Seattle (and of course, Blitz is there, too) and Brook is coaching for the Seattle State Sounds. Harper lacks a focused career, but her up and coming Team Stitches is certainly on the rise. Old friends intermix with new ones and Harper and Brook face various challenges as they try to acclimate to life in Seattle.

Some of the plot twists were a bit lost on me, but I liked how the book wrapped up in the end!

The whole story from start to finish had me captivated

Harper MacLaughlin together with her husband Brook and their cat Blitz, have moved to Seattle where Brook coaches college football. Itâs a new life with fresh challenges, and changes for both of them. However, their fantasy football league remains a constant along with the other team members such as Gio, Wade, and JJ.

During a dinner at Brookâs bossâ house, Harper and Witney (another of the wives), get pushed into joining a new fantasy football league. The Real Coachâs Wives of Seattle is run by Angie OâDwyer, the wife of Brookâs boss. This throws Harper and Witney together and they become firm friends.

As with previous books in this Queen of the League series, the chapters have a score tally and run-down on the progress of the leagues that Harper has joined. Itâs a fun and different addition which works well.

JJ makes more of an appearance in this book than in the previous two. An ex-colleague of Harper, and friend to Brook, JJ shows up in Seattle looking to stay with them. Thereâs an air of mystery to why heâs visiting and Harper tries her best to get to the bottom of it. JJ isnât the most reliable or trustworthy of people. Iâd had my reservations about him before and they resurfaced in this third instalment. For all his faults, JJ is Brookâs friend and that shines through. He steps up to the plate and supports Harper in her hour of need, redeeming himself. I loved JJâs âsofa king.â I caught on immediately but it took Harper and Brook an age to figure it out. I wonât go any further on âsofa kingâ but once you read it, youâll know what it refers to.

In the writing session of his life, Brian will find a flurry of accidents and antics that are sure to slow him down.

A hilarius tale about writing with a deadline

I received a copy of this book in audio format from the author in exchange for a honest review.

This is a short story, the audiobook is just under thirty minutes. Brian Wright had promised his editor to have his third novel completed soon, but several events, not his own fault, will get in the way.

This is a hilarious tale about how difficult things can get for a writer even when he has the best intentions to have his book ready. I especially enjoyed the part where all their clothes turn pink and they just have some moving boxes to wear.

I was not fully convinced with the narration though. It was correctly done but I noticed some mouth noises and it was not as clear as I am used by other narrators.

I really enjoyed this short story, and I think it is a must listen, especially if you have ever tried to write something with a deadline.

The Bare Boxers

A very short, fun story about the life and brain of an author.Christopher George is the perfect narrator.I was given this book free by the author, narrator or publisher,

Comedy I actually liked

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I might mention that I enjoyed it as a quick, light read.

What did you like best about this story?

This was cute, funny, and I could relate to an extent.

Which scene was your favorite?

The beginning before we really know what is going on.

If you could rename The Bare Boxers, what would you call it?

I think it has a good title.

Any additional comments?

I was alerted to this audiobook online and asked to review. Also I enjoyed the narration.
