Numero 1 in Italia.

Ethan è ricco e scapestrato.

Sara è un giovane avvocato senza grilli per la testa.

Incompatibili, inconciliabili, agli opposti.

Ma anche il sole e la luna a volte si incontrano...

Critic Reviews:

"Green is in the front rank of thriller writers." (The Australian)

Great Holiday Read

Fast paced but mostly plausible - a good holiday read. John Green's background as a merchant banker and lawyer is evident from the logical organisation of the plot and the financial setting of the novel

Fast paced

Another thriller from John Green with many echoes of current issues throughout the fast paced story. An entertaining read and recommended.

An unusual plot

An unusual and origin plot. Will probably be more stories with the central character of this book. Look forward to reading them

Tao Thrilling

Author John M. Green sets a huge task for himself in The Tao Deception. He has a plot so far out that it will take great skill to carry it out. He succeeds. The Tao Deception is a true thriller, one that carries the reader through this intricate plot, some it far-fetched, perhaps, but as part of the whole , it all works well. I was surprised as things developed, and read the novel in a day. As the cliche goes "I couldn't put it down!"

Thanks, NetGalley for the opportunity to review this fine thriller.

Title: The Fifth Letter

Publisher: Penguin Books Ltd

Publisher's Summary:

Joni, Trina, Deb and Eden. Best friends since the first day of school. Best friends, they liked to say, forever. But now they are in their thirties and real life - husbands, children, work - has got in the way. So, resurrecting their annual trip away, Joni has an idea, something to help them reconnect. Each woman will write an anonymous letter, sharing with their friends the things that are really going on in their lives. But as the confessions come tumbling out, Joni starts to feel the certainty of their decades-long friendships slip from her fingers. Anger. Accusations. Desires. Deceit. And then she finds another letter. One that was never supposed to be read. A fifth letter. Containing a secret so big that its writer had tried to destroy it. And now Joni is starting to wonder, did she ever really know her friends at all?

Critic Reviews:

''The premise and its execution will grab readers and refuse to let go. Readers may pick this one up to see how Moriarty's writing compares to her sister Liane's wildly popular novels, but they'll race to the end as a credit to Nicola's fine sense of pacing and suspense. An author to watch.'' (Tracy Babiasz, Booklist)

Couldnt finish this

The narrator is so bad on this audiobook that I was unable to engage in the story or even listen for more than an hour. So sorry I bought this without listening to a sample.

Irritatingly dreadful

Badly written, poorly thought out story about four irritating whining self-centred Australian women - read by a woman with an excruciatingly whining voice with no vocal range.

Meandering and annoying

Interesting concept of a plot, but felt as though I was having to listen to perennial teenagers bickering.

I kept wanting the storyline to tie up lose ends as I tried to persevere through the ghastly Australian narrator.

In the end I gave up more confused and very unsatisfied.

Wicked Souls

I am glad that I finished reading Wicked Souls by Sabrina Samples because the last scenes share the creativity and descriptive writing that mark the very beginning of the story. The problem for me was the rather muddled middle when our heroine, Spencer, struggles to discover who she is and what role she is supposed to play in the ongoing battle between Heaven and Hell. There were a number of places where I found myself wishing that this talented storyteller had consulted with an editor to take care of the typos and grammatical errors dotted throughout the book. There are also sentences that look as if they belong in a film script instead of a novel. I thought that the scenes with one of the villains who speaks in rhyme were unique and well-depicted, and I loved to see Spencer slowly embrace her own burgeoning power. I will definitely keep an eye out for the sequel.

Wicked Indeed

I must say that I really enjoyed this book. Spencer is definitely a strong female character that goes through many trials that only make her stronger. Sabrina Samples deliver a tale of tragedy, despair, and redemption. I won't say too much to spoil the plot but there are many different plot twists that definitely catch you off guard. She also offers. Variety cast of characters the executioner is my favorite I must say. I hope everyone enjoys this as I have. I look forward to the second installment.

Engaging take on the war between good and evil

First, I am a true Agnostic. I have no idea what comes after death or whether there is a Heaven or Hell. With that in mind, I enjoy other takes on the afterlife, including Sartre's bleak dead following the living around. This novel is a very interesting take on Heaven, Hell and the war between good and evil. I found it easy to read and very engaging. This is a highly recommended novel.

A good first book

Spencer very clearly remembers her wedding to David and the year that followed. Driving home after a weekend with his parents, she swerves to miss a man dressed in white standing in the middle of the road and crashes. Spencer survives with minimal injuries while David has to stay overnight at the hospital. The morning after coming home from the hospital with David, she wakes up and finds that he has died sometime in the night. Spencer's life is about to get more interesting than she could have imagined.

Or did he? Visits from an angel, a demon, a trip to heaven. Memories of a wedding that didn't happen, no memory of a love that did, murder, angels, demons, and souls are at stake. Samples has put a new spin on the familiar tale of the war between heaven and hell, angels versus demons for control of earth and all souls. She threw a curve ball at the end that I wasn't in anyway anticipating.

This was an interesting book. The narrative isn't quite smooth in some places, but overall, a good novel for a first time author.

Beautiful and gentle short story told from a granddaughter's point of view. Though only about 10 minutes long on Audible, it manages to develop the two characters and tell a beautiful story full of love and compassion; it left an impact on me. Highly recommend for all ages.

Excellent New Western

Well written, well read! As a long-time fan of Westerns, I'm always delighted to find a new author of this genre. The Protectors features complex and likable characters caught in a tough ethical dilemma. Without giving the ending away, I'll say it was most satisfying. This would be a book for YA readers, but also for adults. Jamie Renell read it beautifully. I'll be on the lookout for more books by P. Jo Anne Burgh.
