Fight for the Kingdom

Any additional comments?

A simple camping trip into a magical adventure for two young boy! A mysterious voice brought them to another world behind a beautiful waterfall where they find dragons, fairies and plenty of excitement. A grat l story for young ones.

This was a joy!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Look, this is not a book for adults. It's a book for kids. Not like Harry Potter is for kids, this is REALLY for kids.

There's goofiness, there's worrying about your parents' opinion of you, there's looking out for your little brother, there's being brave and there's studying everything you can about your environment before you camp.

It was a delight! I listened to it before I showed it to some of my charges, just to make sure it was appropriate. They loved it! The ones around 12 thought it was silly and scoffed, but kept listening "because of my little brother", the ones between 3 and 8 had a blast!

Victoria Schwimley wrote such a cute, wholesome book! I really liked their journey and the lessons in the story that I could discuss with the kids. Vicky was a great narrator - and storyteller! While some of the voices she made annoyed my adult ears a little bit, I am 100% sure she would have been able to keep 20 kids enthralled with her live storytelling. It was wonderful, in that sense!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review, and there it is! I would just recommend that the cover is updated and the writing made a little better-looking (even if image is kept intact), just so that it catches the eye of more people!

Absolutely Delightful!

This is an adorable children's story about two young boys who are tasked with saving a kingdom from an angry dragon. The characters are sure to delight young listeners and, as an adult, I got a kick out of the narrator's interpretation of the antagonist, Carinda. I thought all the character voices were great - the narrator does an excellent job. A must listen for little ones!

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no obligation to leave a review. This is my unbiased opinion.

Great children's fantasy tale

This is a wonderfully imaginative fantasy story for young readers.

Imaginative and moral

Family teamwork against terrible monsters. Clever plot twists, descriptive without overwhelming detail. Didn't have to censor any parts to my 8 yr old.

Great book

The author ties the first and second book in very well with this one he makes it flow very well. I liked that he gives you a little information but he lets you assume and piece together it all. The author kept the book clean and wasn't inappropriate at all.

Five Stars

My son loves this series!

Nuts.

If you could sum up The Easter Bunny Invasion! in three words, what would they be?

I already have. In one. It's nuts. Mildred the Easter Bunny has her egg factory stolen by Foxy McFox, who causes havoc across the world by breeding billions of bunnies.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The two teenage bunnies are funny, due to their slacker attitude. Lots of characters, actually. Lots of silly accents and voices.

Which scene was your favorite?

Probably the dumping of the rabbits at the north pole.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It's dry humour - you find yourself sniggering at things. Like the elf doctor, who loves his giant slug.

Any additional comments?

It's quite long for a kid's book, and its best taken in chunks, I think. Much of the humor works for adults too, like the mystery of how the rabbits keep doubling in number every time you look away from them.

Title: When I Got a Scolding

Author: Prachi Garg

Narrator: Nigel Barks Field

Format: Unabridged

Length: 8 mins

Language: English

Release date: 10-26-16

Publisher: Prachi Garg

Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7

Publisher's Summary:

This story is a gem representing the delightful stories from the Indian subcontinent which capture the simple essence of everyday life in rural/urban India. The simple pleasures of life indicate a time gone by before the advent of cellphones and Facebook, a time which almost stood still, a time where children could revel in the rain, make paper boats and race them down a drain, play marbles, and generally pass time.

The once idyllic life almost seems too slow to bear and hence is fascinating to watch unfurl as we hear the story.
