English please

The book was in excellent condition...But it was from England (we live in the US), so it took FOREVER to get it and A LOT of the terminology in the book was different and hard for my 8 yr old son to understand. For instance, at one point in the story someone says that someone is "going to loose 500 pounds", this confused my son until I explained that the pounds was money not weight. The cafeteria at school is referred to as the dinner, etc. the list goes on and on. NOW I know to pay attention to where the books are coming from! I wish there would have been some sort of warning about the different vocabulary used in the book, as my son doesn't really want to read the book because he is having a hard time understanding what they are talking about. Mind you he read all of the other Undead pets books in 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed them.

A Great Book...

This story is wonderful for children. It even holds my attention. An adult probably should read it with younger children because there are some questions about American History to be answered which require some prior knowledge. This book is definitely not boring and is illustrated beautifully. I highly recommend Timmy's Birthday!

Cute Story

I'm normally not much of a kids book kinda guy but this one is cute, especially for your younger kids.

A valuable learning aid

This short story brings several learning values to the child who hears it. First and foremost are the questions that are sprinkled throughout the story. If you are the adult reader or an associated adult listener, stop the narrative and have the child respond to the questions. Second, the story is short and focused. It has fantasy value but Timmy comes back to Earth in the end.

Format: Unabridged

Length: 3 mins

Language: English

Release date: 08-31-13

Publisher: Tate Out Loud

Genres: Kids, Ages 5-7

What parent or grandparent hasn't been bombarded with questions from a child? Their curious minds, marveling at the world God has created, search for answers around every corner. They innocently turn to us for those answers because, well - we've been around longer. The wonderful minds of our children are a gift from God.

Their questions are opportunities he has provided in our otherwise ordinary lives to stop and look at the world again, with awe and amazement and admit that we don't have all the answers. But we can certainly point those beautiful faces in the right direction and show them who does have all the answers. After all, he's been around longer. May this audiobook bring a smile to your face and glory to his name.
