The book was in excellent condition...But it was from England (we live in the US), so it took FOREVER to get it and A LOT of the terminology in the book was different and hard for my 8 yr old son to understand. For instance, at one point in the story someone says that someone is "going to loose 500 pounds", this confused my son until I explained that the pounds was money not weight. The cafeteria at school is referred to as the dinner, etc. the list goes on and on. NOW I know to pay attention to where the books are coming from! I wish there would have been some sort of warning about the different vocabulary used in the book, as my son doesn't really want to read the book because he is having a hard time understanding what they are talking about. Mind you he read all of the other Undead pets books in 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed them.

A Great Book...

This story is wonderful for children. It even holds my attention. An adult probably should read it with younger children because there are some questions about American History to be answered which require some prior knowledge. This book is definitely not boring and is illustrated beautifully. I highly recommend Timmy's Birthday!

Cute Story

I'm normally not much of a kids book kinda guy but this one is cute, especially for your younger kids.

A valuable learning aid

This short story brings several learning values to the child who hears it. First and foremost are the questions that are sprinkled throughout the story. If you are the adult reader or an associated adult listener, stop the narrative and have the child respond to the questions. Second, the story is short and focused. It has fantasy value but Timmy comes back to Earth in the end.

My Favorite Foods in the Grocery Store is a good, creative cute story that helps to teach our little people that eating healthy is a priority. The children that I have purchased the book for seem to really like the story and the vibrant pictures captivate their attention too.
