3 QUESTIONS to AAARON:
Q: Hey Aaaron. Whats the reason why there are 3x "A" inside your name?
A: "AAA" has it´s origin from the american school grades and means it´s much better than only "A". Well, I´m just kidding... you know, normally you write Aaron with only 2x A but if you search this name on Google, Facebook, RA or SoundCloud you will probably never find me. So I took one more "A" to make a difference. And another smart advantage is that of course you´re on top of all the alphabetical line-ups.
Q: The way how you met the bass was leading you to really wonderful music, especially while listening to your releases and this great podcast. From which style did you come from, I mean: what was your inspiration in the past?
A: In the early years I started with american Hiphop from the 90s. Boombap. In this time I also started to DJ. In 2001 I was inspired by the Berlin minimal sound and everything around which was played in the clubs in this time. For example the old Speicher records, Len Faki, Audion, Marc Houle, Bodzin and of course Villalobos. Today I still love these records and whenever the time is right I try to mix them inside my sets.
Q: I´ve been playing your track "What I got" (label: O´RS) for a very long time. For me it was one of the best tracks in 2014. Whats comming up this year?
A: I´m happy to hear that! For the first 6 months all my releases are scheduled yet. Compared to the last years I now will do more remixes. A few tracks are in my typical old style and a few ones will be more fresh. Currently there is a vinyl in press with a remix for a good friend from Freiburg (MYNY) who just started his vinyl only label "Solide". According to this there will be another vinyl only split release on "Fat Plastic" with 2 original tracks from me and probably there will be a release on "Muna Music" with the help of Mathias Kaden who also was a big fan of my "Supersingle". And finally there will be a remix for my friend Re.You for his Mobilee remix compilation.
