Well here you go
2019 has been a rollercoaster year for me, so much has happened and changed recently that as we’re halfway through the first month of quarter 2, I have nothing but to be thankful for the growth that is happening. If you follow me on social media (@DSBBeats everywhere), you would’ve noticed I’ve been particularly open about some of my trip-ups this year, it just so happens that after all of the bullshit April is my most successful month ever.
Right now, I’m writing this article from a position of being motivated, and hungry to chase what I love doing...
Being in business for myself.
I’m on target with my finances, I’ve got tracks with some very talented artists in the pipeline, my secondary business ‘Producer Marketing’ has grown to 72 clients in 1 month - we’ll be on well over 400 - 500 by the end of the year. Things are UP, and will only continue to go up
But what about the times in 2019 when I was low? I did make an effort to share those moments on social media, and I want to use this article as a remedy for those of you that are in the same mental mind state I was in a couple months ago.
Wow. Never knew that this would've happened. If you told me a year ago that I'd be interviewing Grant in Miami, I wouldn't believe you. Been following this man for well over a year now, and contribute 90% of my success with my business to him. His financial mindset, sales skills, and approach to a '10X life' has completely changed the path of my life for the better, and could not thank him enough for that. Here's what we spoke about...
In the past, I’ve banged my head against the wall for ages trying to figure out why I couldn’t grow my monthly income from one figure to the next. I remember consistently earning $2000 per month, without any real increase month after month EVEN THOUGH I had set new financial targets. I remember consistently earning $4000 per month, again, even after setting new financial targets for me to earn double that. In the past I’ve been confused, and I want to use this article today to share with you the very logical and simple way you can earn more money this month than you ever had before, and if you’re reading this towards the end of the month how you can make the next month your best ever yet
You may find what I’m about to say funny, or unexpected - but throughout my life I’ve had some relatively minor and major anger problems. For how calm I appear over social media, and in real life, it must be weird for you to think that I get angry and annoyed.
I’m the type of person to be calm 90% of the time, but when someone or something gets in my way, I become completely irrational. Now, in moments in my life these moments of anger have been completely unnecessary. I believe that EVERY human has some irrational behaviour, because we’re NOT perfect. But instead of making yourself feel bad for the mistakes you’ve made in the past by being irrational, I want to use todays article to show you how you can use your chip on YOUR shoulder to actually boost productivity.
“The only way to live a truly comfortable life is by being uncomfortable”. I’m sure you’ve heard this saying before.
The only reason it exists is because it expands our comfort zone, the more we do in a day that we dislike, the more our brains get use to it and the more we can do. You see, this applies to almost everything. From the speed at which you work and the amount you get done in a day, all the way over to what you’re willing to do to make your dreams a reality, your mental ‘thermometer’ must keep readjusting to new temperatures.
When I first started producing I had no clue what ‘close the deal’ meant. I had no clue what ‘opening a sale’ was - I was clueless. Unaware of how sales could benefit my business.
Defined, ‘closing’ in the sales cycle is when two parties exchange something of value. When it comes to selling beats online, we trade our beats (something the customer values), in exchange for money (something we value). The degree to how many customers you can close is the degree to which you have a ‘solvent’ (having more assets than liabilities) business.
If you're not asking questions, you're not learning anything new - and if you're not learning anything new, you're not EARNING anything new. Today I went live on Instagram & Facebook to deliver content to Artists & Producers on getting more views on YouTube, securing placements & what my favourite vape cocktail is.
The CEO of top US companies are usually great visualisers, hard workers, and unforgivingly consistent in their ability to push their company through hard times.
They are also great delegators, it’s in their nature. They’re employing hundreds, thousands of employees at a time to become an integral moving part of their business. Top CEO’s do not do all of the work themselves, partly because it’s impossible to do 100 things at once at exceptional quality, and also because it is in their NATURE to be steering ‘the ship’ to its next destination.
Does that make sense?
