Why do I torture myself with these cliffhangers!

Faithful is the third book in the Wanted series by Kelly Elliott.

I thought this was a romance not complete torture instead!! These epilogues are getting more evil with each book! The 4th book won't be available until Jan 2014. AGHH!! I'm dying to know what happens next. These books are told in multiple POV's so even though this was 'Heather and Josh's Story', everyone was involved every step of the way. Just beware if you're not following closely you can get a bit confused. I did feel parts of the book were kind of repetitive and filled with over the top cheesiness. Regardless, I still really like this series. Faithful is the story of Josh and Heather, but catches you up on old friends & introduces new ones. The story starts right up at the hospital. Where now instead of Linda, we have a new uber-bitch in town, Victoria. Victoria is a nurse who just happens to be an ex high school girlfriend of Josh. She was clingy & crazy back than so it's no surprise to see she is still the same way. With Josh having amnesia as result from his accident, Heather feels destroyed because Josh has no memory of her. Josh and Heather must find a way to reconnect after all they have been through. They must find a way back to the love they both know is there. We experience a lot of romantic sexy moments, dramatic moments, and of course plenty of awww moments. I really enjoyed Josh and Heather's story. We've been watching their relationship develop in the other books and we finally get to see them find their happy ending. I loved how Heather started to really stand up for herself morein the end. This story left me in shambles on the edge of my seat. Kelly Elliott writes such emotional books that you get sucked in and can't help but be captivated. So now the wait until January begins...can't wait for CHERISHED! but seriously, January 2014?!?!?

So much better than the last two.

While I love Wanted book 1 because I love Eli and Gunner there was too much drama.Same went for book 2. Drama on top of craziness. Yet I just couldn't stay away from this book even though I wasn't sure if I would be in the mood for more craziness.

A bit boring..

Started very good but quickly became tedious.. Same story as some of this authors other books with different characters.

i loved this story! Diana Palmer is one of my fav authors. she has a way of spinning a simple but intriguing story lines.

My first disappointment in Palmer

I've loved her books for twenty years, but the hero was full of stupidity. I realized he was injured thru out the book, but come on, he couldn't come up with any way to ever save them. I light gutsy take charge heroines but she had to do it all. I appreciate the effort to actually have love scenes but what happened to foreplay, there was never ever any. Hope the next couple in the series are better, I've already bought them.

I really enjoy all of the Jacobsviile books. I'm so glad Hayes finally came to his senses where Minette is concerned. Can't wait to visit the characters of Jacobsviile again. I would recommend this book to everyone.

I loved the way Felicia was with her new experiences and how strong she was with a tender heart. I especially liked the matter of fact speech and she made me laugh. Again Great listen.

Fun listen!

Probably more of a 4.5 for me. I loved this book even more than the first one in series. This had a little more depth than book 1 and some humor and some really hot scenes but still a lighthearted fun story. Chad is pretty humorous with his huge ego and was often kept in check by various characters. Made him kind of lovable. Still had room for some depth in this book but that's always better than beating the same issue over and over and over. I enjoyed it and will definitely be getting book 3.

As always, Kaleo Griffith is AWESOME!!! I love his mail character narration!

Blackmailed Into Love...

I was surprised to find that I actually enjoyed this book a lot more than the first book. The story is about Chad Gamble, the star pitcher for the Nationals, who has a bad reputation. He's a bad boy that needs to clean up his act before his team decides not to renew his contract. Meanwhile, Chad meets the insecure, quirky Bridget at a night club. She makes a big impression on him and he takes her home. Bridget knows all about this Gamble brother. She knows that she is not his usually type of women is...hot bomb shell model type.Chad really wants her but she basically runs from him instead.

To make a long story short, they eventually run into each other, he gets busted kissing Bridget by the paparazzi. The team gives an ultimatum and the team publicist ends up blackmailing them into a fake relationship. Little does the couple know that the relationship is far more than just fake.

What made the experience of listening to Tempting the Player the most enjoyable?

I'm stingy with my stars, so to receive 5*'s in all categories is difficult for MOST to achieve.

What a fantastic book! The plot was great and if you can accept the founding premise (it was a bit 'unrealistic,' but this IS fiction.)

Tempting the Player was one of the few listens that actually pulled at my heartstrings a bit (that IS a feat, as I have a cold, black heart.) I really like J. Lynn aka Jennifer L. Armentrout. I will continue with this series. I will also check out more of her work-with caution as most of her work is YA, not a genre I like - but thus far, her contemporary, adult category books all sound good.

The bad boy baseball player needs to clean up his reputation as a player (off the field) in order to keep his baseball contract.

Mystery and romance in Lucky Harbor...

I really enjoy the Lucky Harbor series. All the books are fun sweet feel good listens. This one has the added bonus of a mystery. The narrator did a pretty good job but I must admit I would prefer to have the same narrator continue with all the series instead of a different one for each book. This is a great book to listen to during the summer.

2 stars. It was ok, but I wanted it to be over.

Thats not a good sign.

The author had some good ideas and interesting characters. But when it came to filling in 300 pages, it just wasnt special enough. At the end a small thing bothered me because it was predictable.

CAUTION SPOILER:

Someone calls the police saying a bad guy has a gun. By the time the police arrive the good guy managed to get the gun away from the bad guy, so the police arrest the good guy. I shouldnt be bothered, but I was, but it was brief. Anyway the police suspected the bad guy and were supposed to be doing surveillance on the bad guy. So why were no police following the bad guy?

END SPOILER.

Ali was searching for the stolen money. If she was successful in finding it, the police might think she knew where it was all along and think she was guilty - again. She was kind of stupid in the things she was doing. Sometimes light stupidity is funny, but it wasnt working for me.

I wish the author went into more plot development. Some good ideas were started but not continued. Why did the senator kill himself if he was getting away with other murders? Somehow this was Lukes big guilt problem and I didnt understand. I also wanted more about the reporters and his commander.

The relationship between Luke and Ali was kind of blah. Its mostly doing good things to help each other out with their problems.

There are many books in the series. This is book 7. And even though I did not give this a high rating, I liked reading about this community. It was enjoyable. I felt like Im living in a small town on the ocean.

One cute event made me chuckle. Luke and Ali were driving to a bar to talk to someone. Luke said When we get there, let me lead. He parked in the parking lot, catching her before she could jump out of the truck. Wait. He said. His phone was ringing. Holding onto her purse, clearly a man who knew how to slow down a woman, he punched speaker on his phone.

AUDIOBOOK NARRATOR:

The narrator Annie Greene was very good as a performer/narrator, but she says contractions in a way that jars me. Instead of couldnt, hadnt, etc., she says couldet and hadet. If speaking slowly she says couldunt, hadant, woulden.

Story kept me engaged!

I really liked this book but I have to say it wasn't until 3/4 of the way through the book that I realized we were getting Mother & Daughter stories. I know I probably was just caught up in it but I was starting to wonder why they both ended up with the same things happening to them...umm No it was going back & forth from the past to the present. I don't know if that was because of the audio or the way it was written. Either way I couldn't stop listening, I loved Sydney & Ethan's story so much! Ethan stole my heart at the end!

Narration was good but they needed to sound less alike I think to help keep track of who's story was happening when.

I LOVED this one. Wow. A really good story. Great narration!

High School senior Grace just had health class and they got to the Sex Education portion. They learned about conception and Grace got really confused.

I know I have heard this exact same story before, but Audible says it was just added. Does anyone know of the same exact plot from a different writer? I would definitely recommend this book if I didn't feel robbed.

Narrator made it really boring. Monotone...

Besides terrible narration the story was really rushed. Could have made for a great story but the speed of the relationship was just not realistic. Character development was kind of non-existent.

Good Story - Should be a Lifetime movie

Narration was horrible. Even the sound quality wasn't good. But if you like Marie Force, you'll enjoy the story of Jack, Audi and family.

Very enjoyable read...

I really enjoyed this book. I would've given it five stars except for the voices of some of the nurses. But don't let that deter you. All the characters seem very real and down to earth.

Fascinating book

Would you consider the audio edition of The Nightingale Girls to be better than the print version?

I am listening to this in the audible version. Often while listening to an audio book it is hard to keep the characters straight but in The Nightengale Girls I didn't have any problem at all. The characters were brought to life and I had a hard time stopping while I was listening to it. I always have a book going while in the car, with this book I would park my car at my destination and not get out because I felt like I was actually one of the nurses in training.

What did you like best about this story?

I would have a hard time trying to pick just one area that I liked best, they were all good.

Which character as performed by Penelope Freeman was your favorite?

I could totally relate to Dora, I loved her ambition and her kindness. She was sexually abused by her step father but the author didn't go into graphic detail, just how it made her feel repulsed by him. I could picture her from the discription and I enjoyed her voice the best.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Even when the young ladies were working hard at their studies and long hours on the wards, I found myself rooting for most of them and the patients were often funny or so sad and I could relate to both sides of the "bed".

Any additional comments?

I would highly recommend this book and the whole series, I am on book 4 now and none of them disappoint. There is just one character that I find the "voice" irritating to listen to. Thankfully she is more of a minor role so it isn't too much of a bother. I won't say her name, I'm sure that you will be able to figure out who she is when you come to her.

This book may appeal to you, if you are 12 and under I'm a grown woman of 54 and there's no way I could even get through the first hour

What a surprise!

This is not my usual kind of book - I am more a horror, crime and sci-fi fan. I bought this because of the length (I had a long train journey coming up) and wanting something easy on the ear. And what a surprise! I got hooked and drawn into the story very quickly, and absorbed in the lives of the characters.

Would you consider the audio edition of Far from Perfect to be better than the print version?

Using the Kindle edition and the audio edition at the same time is good listening practice as I adjust to my new Cochlear Implant. When both are downloaded to the Kindle Fire, they can be used simultaneously.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Noah. He is working at making his life better on his own. He is not waiting for someone else to make things easier for him.

What does Kate Rudd bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

She is an excellent reader. As mentioned, in my case, it gave me the chance to both hear and read the words at the same time. I find when I read, I mentally put expression into the words I am reading and it was nice for her to provide that for me.

It was a timely, excellent story. I was disappointed in the frequent use of bad language throughout the book. It added absolutely nothing to the story, and I would have enjoyed it even more without the bad language. I won't recommend it to my friends because of that. I like the story and have bought the next in the series to continue practice for the Cochlear Implant, but again, I can't recommend the next one to anyone who is offended by such language, for the same reason.

Great first part, but heroine became unlikeable.

The adorable 4-year-old daughter has a large part in the story.

The first four chapters were really good (a fourth of the book). I was enjoying it and full of anticipation. Then in chapter 5 Ceejay was bitter, narrow minded, angry and mean to the well-meaning grandmother. I would not have done what she did. Ceejay was angry at Matt, but she directed her anger at others. And Ceejay continued being rude, angry and mean later in the book (several times). I dont require perfect heroines. That would be boring. Im ok with heroines doing stupid or unlikeable things when it fits, but here it made me angry. I would have preferred circumstances and other characters create the conflicts.

The last part of the book reminded me of TV/Lifetime movies. Major life events happen for various characters - health issues, accidents, marriage, children, careers, moving.

Narration was so rushed, awful to listen to

The story was poorly developed, it held little interest I could not finish it. The narrator spoke so rapidly it was distracting and made it impossible to concentrate.

Fun book to listen to, I was sad to hear it end. Unlike other books where I had to constantly adjust the volume, the narrator has a even volumed voice as she paints the images in your mind through inflection and tone.
