    Whew!! That was INTENSE!!!!
What made the experience of listening to Keep Me the most enjoyable?
I liked having the man and woman narrators. They worked very well together.
What other book might you compare Keep Me to and why?
I'm not sure - This is a very DARK book that many will find very disturbing but its like a train wreck .... you can't turn away from it.
Have you listened to any of Roberto Scarlato and Shirl Rae s other performances before? How does this one compare?
no,but I would listen to them again. Great job!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did have an extreme reaction to this book and I did cry. It also kept me on pins and needles!! I cringed and sweated right along with the characters.
    Any additional comments?
This is a great listen but be very prepared for the darkness. It is a romance but very different from your traditional romances.
JULIAN & NORA.A COUPLE LIKE NO OTHER!
I was one of the fans who bought the 2nd book immediately when it was released. I didn't think I would get the audiobook, but I'm sure glad I did. It was like the difference of watching a film in black & white with no sound, to watching a vivid blue ray on an HD television. Seriously!!! Roberto Scarlato was freaken amazing! He brought warmth and a soft side to Julian, plus add the sexy. OMG, his voice is gorgeous & he did a wonderful job. Now, Shirl Rae, I can't say enough about her narration. She is amazing! She is one of my favorite narrators. These narrators brought this gripping, visceral, dark story to life.
Julian and Nora's story has fully captivated me. Friends have described this book as "moderately dark" and I think that is why I was taken aback by this story, because when the horror of how Julian had ensnared Nora is pulled away, well, at the heart of it, they both want each other. This love story is pretty intense, and I think, "moderately dark" is just about all I can handle (I'm a light weight when it comes to dark romances, I suppose).
This book takes place where "Twist Me" has left off. It has wonderful twists and turns, and very shocking situations that I was NOT expecting..CRAZY SHOCKING, but the best part of this book was all of the "Julian and Nora" time. Their relationship is still visceral, fire-invoking, and far from traditional. Julian continues with his pain/pleasure sex with Nora. And, there were times I just wanted Nora to give him a smack down for being a psycho with her. (Yet, that is all a part of this story and Julian's progressive development as a character.) In terms of loving-making, he is an outrageously unpredictable lover in the bedroom. At times, he's sadistic and too much, other times he's a sweet, sensual lover.

    good one
First, the story was awesome, the blurb doesn't do it justice. The twists coming when least expected were great, I love that in a book. The main characters, Murph and Kate, were so mismatched at the beginning made me wonder where does the story go, but as the story unfolded I fell in love with them. Great secondary characters, the chief and the mail lady were my fave.
Dana Marton is a new author-to-me and I like what I see so far, I will be looking for her other books to enjoy. Thank you Ms. Marton.
As for the narration, I loved Ms. Ragan's voice, not as varied as others I've listened to, but great pitch, very pleasant. The only thing that bugged me is that she has a slight lisp, not sure what it is from, but a few places I had to go back and listen again to the word/s to hear what it was, two places I couldn't make it out even after the third listen.
Waiting for your hitman - Deathwatch
What made the experience of listening to Deathwatch: Broslin Creek the most enjoyable?
Deathwatch is well narrated, I was was drawn in by both story and voice that kept me mesmerized. For me a voice needs to fit the story, accents and voice cadence can make or break it. Talmadge Ragan seems to have the right draw in her voice for me.
at times she did seem a bit close to the microphone, but that was not a an issue, nor did it bother me.
What other book might you compare Deathwatch: Broslin Creek to and why?
I'm still fairly new to audible, however, I would have to say that I would compare this book to the narration of "The Cuckoo,s Calling", as narrated by Robert Galbraith. His voice fit the story as well, and it was full of mystery and intrigue as well.
Talmadge and Robert did not try to over do the different characters voices, which can e distracting. I felt the intensity of the situations in their voices, changes flowed nicely and kept me drawn into the story.
What does Talmadge Ragan bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Listening to a good reader can bring the story to life more than reading a book for yourself, it can add depth to the story and experience that may not come into play with reading the book.
When I read and then listen to a book, I just seem to experience more of an involvement sometimes, Talmadge added the depth and intrigue in her voice that doesn't necessarily come into play with reading on my own.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
    Followed by death
    Any additional comments?
The reading was enjoyable, I did feel like it ended short, but perhaps with a hope for more, like a continuation. I guess I wanted the hit-man to be caught. That's just me, but I can see the potential.
Overall a great book, great read, and great listening experience. I,m looking forward to hearing more of Dana's books in audio, she holds a few spots in my TBR list.
    Loved it
Book two should be great. Looking forward to it. I did not figure out the killer. That was unusual for me!

Can't get enough of sexy Scottish men...
I got this book thinking it was a Highlander story but it is set in modern day Scotland. The things I learned by listening to this book are:
    - Scottish men were amazing hundreds of years ago... and they still are!
    - I absolutely love the Scottish accent
    - Great narration makes the time go by quicker.
Yes I recommend this book! It's not only set in Scotland with that amazing accent and great narration but our hero is also a movie star... I'm in love!
    Eh It's not bad?
I really didn't care for the female lead much. To be blunt, she's a take it or leave it kind of female. Spent most of the books whining about herself and not taking the time to talk to those around her.
Not a fan of conflicts where all one has to do is go to the person they are angst towards and say what's wrong. Generally, in reality when you confront someone about a problem they tend to not get all in a tizzy when you approach them with calm maturity. Conflict resolution's that can be resolved in one conversation do not make for interesting conflict, especially if those conflicts last almost the entire book.
This is also not really a romance so much as it's a story about a whiny woman who has never taken charge of her own life and when she finally does the reader/listener doesn't like her enough to care.
The rest of the characters felt very flat and one dimensional.
I didn't hate it or like it so I am going stick with my headliner, it's not bad. I probably would not recommend this to the average listener/reader.
    A good fun read.
If you could sum up To Scotland with Love in three words, what would they be?
    Snappy, enjoyable, family
What other book might you compare To Scotland with Love to and why?
Emilie Richard's Shenandoah Valley quilt series.
What about Kirsten Potters performance did you like?
The narration flowed and the inflection was good.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Women friends and a hunk of man too.
    Any additional comments?
Ms. Griffin writes like we talk and think. Some of the internal conversations were dead on. Good snarky comments I wish I would have made and some I have.
    Love is Patient
What made the experience of listening to To Scotland with Love the most enjoyable?
Wonderful story of family love conquers all.

    Reads like a romantic sit-com
What made the experience of listening to The Bet the most enjoyable?
I didn't care for the narrator. She made it feel more childish with her voice inflections.
    Any additional comments?
This book is quite unique, at least it was for me. It reads like a romantic sit-com. Everything that can go wrong, does. Every opportunity is interrupted. Every comment misinterpreted. Don't get me wrong, it was quite amusing but it felt fiction.
Jake and Travis grew up with Kacey. She's the girl next door. They're brothers. As the younger brother, Jake was the best friend to Kacey. They had their moments of more in high school and again with the "incident" but it hadn't worked. Travis is the brother who loves her and can't show it. He chases her in a very little boy way. Spiders, snakes and rocks are all involved. She calls him Satan. But she doesn't always notice how much he's there for her.
When Jake needs to smooth things over with the press, he thinks a fake engagement to the one girl he should love is the perfect plan. He's not good enough for her but he thinks he should love her. Problem is that he's an a$$ and she's not what he needs at all. But thinking of his poor sick (NOT) grandmother who's always been there for her, she agrees. Too bad Travis (aka Satan) will also be there.
Yeah, these characters do have a childish charm to them and they really are still pretty young but I love them. Of course, Travis is my favorite. (I actually wanted to drop-kick Jake the first time he...never mind). Travis is a sweetie who has been in love with Kacey since he was eight and made a bet with his younger brother. Even though he has a terrible way of showing his feelings, Travis did so many sweet things I was a pile of goo for him.
Kacey is struggling with the death of her parents and the "incident". She needs to work through it all and Grandma has a plan. And no one should ever get in the way of Grandma's plans. She's a riot, really.
While these characters and this story really felt like a work of fiction, I found is amusing and entertaining. Giggled some and swore once or twice.

WHAT BEAUTIFUL DEPTH AND EMOTION WITHIN THIS LOVE!
OMG, what an incredible, unpredictable, beautiful love story this was! The first scene between the leads was rather shocking as it was devastating and quite broken. Then, the author took the reader back to the past, to build the story and smoothly landed in the present tense. The blend of incredible leads, secondary characters, great writing style, as well as the fabulous performance of narrators made this an awesome listen!---Actually, a superb listen! Shirl Rae is one of my favorite narrators and she did so well in her performance in this one, and Marc Bachmann's voice was sexy as hell.
Maverick Hart IS "badass personified" as a Navy SEAL. Yes he is a man-whore, but in broader terms he's a part of a brotherhood that was wonderful and so touching to explore. I loved Maverick's POV! He had such a crude, dirty mouth, especially with his SEAL brothers...but it all felt like a realistic depiction of their masculine world. You cant help but admire and fall in love with these fierce SEAL brothers!
Maverick is a very strong man who leaves no challenge unanswered, and is thrown into a tailspin when he is rejected by the beautiful, but guarded Windsor Forbes. Yet what started as a game between predator and prey turned into an intense, extraordinary, deeply emotional love. I loved Maverick and Windsor together so much, especially their sassy humor, electric chemistry, witty banter, and hot-torrid love! There are so many powerful and romantic moments that Maverick, the adrenaline-seeking, tough as nails, yet soft as velvet, Navy SEAL hottie gave to Windsor.Seriously, very beautiful MUCH ANTICIPATED love scenes, and romance at its purest. *Sigh*
Overall, this book drew out a great depth of emotions in me. I was angry at both Maverick & Windsors decisions, at times, but more than anything I was enchanted with how they never gave up and worked things out, reaching a satisfying HEA. There is also tragedy, and I cried noisily while I was driving to work, and had to pull it together. This brings me to the next book, all I can say is that I am going to be greatly conflicted at heart when I read it. Boy does Robinson have a feat ahead of herself with Morgannas book!!! I was so impressed with this book as her debut, that I know she will not disappoint! What a great start to a series!!!!
    EXCELLENT AUDIOBOOK! LOVED IT!
    Crazy Good, is!
This story had a nice flow to it, arrogant, cocky Seal, meets his match and falls hard.

    Beautiful and heartbrearking
This book features the beautiful and heartbreaking story of Gabe and Taylor. Gabe was oh so broken and I couldn't help it but to love him. He was sure his life wasnt worth anything. He felt so much guilt for what happened in the past and he was trying to hide it at all cost. And then he met Taylor. Their relationship wasnt easy but it was completely worth it. They were perfect together, they needed each other to find the best version of themselves.
I loved this book too. It was intense and heartbreaking and sexy and romantic. I was frustrated at times with the characters but it was all understandable for their backgrounds and current situations. The narrations of Anthony Haden Salerno and Holly Fielding made me love the story and characters more. Their inflexions were very accurate for the characters, emotions and the situations lived in this story.
WOW I can't believe I listened to the whole thing
I liked Ruin even if it was a bit sappy, it did have an actual story and character development. It had been a long time since I read Toxic I forgot, forgot there was little story forgot the characters were two dimensional selfish and insipid. I just couldn't get into it because I had vague cranky feelings for the characters. So much of the story did not make sense because things would just come out of left field that mostly I just wanted to know why. Particularly the female protagonist why was she crying and being a ninny, I found her to be selfish and boring. I don't want to be mean or anything but it was bad by the end I was counting the minutes to the end.
Voice performance for Gabe made audio version flat
Would you listen to Toxic again? Why?
Love the story. Very moving and true to characters.
BUT, had to switch to reading on my Kindle.

    it was good
however, I wasn't a fan of her voice. she sounded older.
as for the story. it was good. not great not bad.
Good story but .....Shayna Thibodeaux's narration?
Would you consider the audio edition of Rogue to be better than the print version?
I just don't understand. Why audible insists on using Shayna Thibodeaux as a narrator for all these great upcoming books when I have heard and read just how unsuitable her voice is for romance.
What did you like best about this story?
The story was great. I love Katy Evans writing style. Her books always include a great plot along with the romance.
How could the performance have been better?
Shayna Thibodeaux. Stop using Shayna Thibodeaux as a narrator for romance. She is more suitable for teen books that DON'T read as a romance. I just really don't understand why audible ignores the bad reviews. Follow the fans advice withShayna Thibodeaux, STOP using her as a romance narrator. Please, the audiobook might sell more. Her voice is very immature, she sounds like a 14 year old. This book is supposed to be a bit steamy and sexy but it sounded ridiculous.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I stopped listening and bought the e-book. It was wonderful. I'm returning this book.
    Any additional comments?
Yes, audible needs to put some effort into casting. Teen books need a teen like narrator.YA books need a young adult narrator.New adult needs an older more mature read. I'm a little concerned why producers at audible seem to think its ok using a very young, immature, 14 yr old voice for a women in her mid twenties - thirty. REALLY????
    Narration ruined the story!!
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Please, please, please, do not use Shayna Thibodeaux for any of the upcoming narrators for this REAL series (or any audio book for that matter). She ruined the story for me! If I hadn't already liked Melanie from the previous 3 books, I would have disliked her character because of her voice. Melanie's voice was grating, annoying and so unpleasant to listen to, I found myself checking to see how much time was remaining for Melanie's POV and hoping to hear Jason again.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Rogue?
I loved Greyson and his possessive and devoted behavior.

    Romance at it's Best
Carly di Matisse celebrity-chef, left a disastrous marriage and moved to Pine Mountain to restart to her life, on a temporary basis. Meet contractor Jackson Carter, forever bachelor. Jackson is fixing the deck on Carly's rental when they first meet. Neither one wants to admit the sparks are flying immediately. Both are commitment phobes so maybe friends with benefits will work. Not!!
I am absolutely in love with this small town in the Mountains. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I love the friendship these characters have especially Jackson and Shane, nice to see male bonding, along with the girl friendships. The sexual chemistry of Jackson and Carly is fun. Of course no book of Ms. Kincaid's can be without food, recipes included. So, romance and food how can you go wrong, highly recommend this book. Can't wait for book three. I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review.
Gimme Some Sugar by Kimberly Kincaid 5+ out of 5 stars
Carly is in Pine Mountain originally because the man she was married to was riding on her expertise as a chef and co-host of a local food show. He betrayed her to her boss and she was fired. Now her ex is trying to get back at her by delaying their divorce and trying to force her hand at a reconciliation. Her ex husband has even stooped so low that he gets Carly's Mother onboard with their reconciliation.
Jackson is hiding from his past and refuses to become seriously involved with a woman because he feels that due to his circumstances growing up that he is unable to truly fall in love. His siblings don't seem to have the same issues as he does. They are married or engaged to be married and Jackson's Mother wants all her children to be happy.
When a freak storm knocks a tree over onto the deck of the house that Carly is renting she meets Jackson for the first time. Jackson comes out to survey the damage and catches Carly in her bathrobe belting out a tune, but not in the best way, and he sits and listens to her. When she sees him she freaks out and starts throwing things at him. She didn't know he was there to fix the damage to the deck only that he was a peeping Tom. Their relationship begins to grow out of friendship. Jackson thinks that what they have is perfect because she's been open about returning to the big city once she has established herself as a chef once more.
What Carly and Jackson have between them is combustible, sexy heat that explodes when they get near each other.
