Sexy and naughty and surprising

What did you love best about Surrender?

I loved that it was short stories written by different authors, and they were really well written. The narrator even changed up the tone and voices for each story. I don't listen to this genre often, but really enjoyed Surrender, it was very naughty and sexy!!! Much better than 50 Shades in my opinion.

I loved the playful, naughty, submissive tone of all the stories.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There are 22 stories...one in particular was really well written and voiced, about a married couple who use a little BDSM to get through the wife having cancer...surprisingly touching and sexy at the same time.

Highly recommended!! Very playful, gets a girl to thinking, if you know what I mean. My boyfriend also enjoyed listening .

stories are good, narrator not so much

I like a lot of sex in my erotica, so I tend towards the compilation types rather than a novel. I mean, don't get me wrong... I like a good erotic novel, but they are few and far between; most end up being romance novels with a few steamy sex scenes. I much prefer explicit, raunchy, xxx stories which most would probably say are too extreme. I love the sleeping beauty series by anne rice, for instance.

anyway, the stories here are varied and most are adequately explicit for my tastes. However, I think the narrator did a horrible job with them. She isn't really cut out for erotica, in my opinion. she wasn't sultry at all, and was almost robotic at times. it all felt very rushed to me. she could have slowed down for sexy emphasis, and put a little purr into her voice here and there and every story would have been improved ten fold.

that being said, I'm still glad I bought the book, but I would have given it 5 stars had the narrator been a little sexier.

What did you love best about SECRET?

The entire story was amazing, especially the whole premise of S.E.C.R.E.T.

What about Jane Thomas performance did you like?

I thought she did a really good job with all voices and inflections.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Oh my gosh yes! I had my heart ripped out and cried like a baby, then immediately went to L. Marie Adeline's website to see if there was a sequel; to my great relief there is even though not knowing what the outcome of the next book is, it gives me hope.

There were, of course, other feelings during the story but those I'll keep to myself.

This was an emotional ride, but I loved it. I am one for happy endings so I held on with bated breath.

A solid concept, with tasteful scenes in comparison to FSoG. The lack of confidence is a little staggering and some characters are predictable although the ending was surprising. I would have like a bit more vibrance in the New Orleans setting. I enjoyed the book nonetheless. I will read "Book 2" as the assumption of the first title eludes.

Sometimes it's so so good to be so so bad.

The queen of taboo strikes again...and as usual...did not disappoint. This is a short, quick, "stimulating" story. Like the stereotypical "Preachers Kid" Lily was yearning to let loose. When you're stifled and repressed, its really only a matter of time before that volcano erupts. And shall we talk about erupting for a minute? Adam? Seriously? I mean that dude is wacked in the head. Sorry, but in my humble opinion, religious zealots are most often pretty damn twisted! But the twist is what made this book so deliciously dark. The fight between right and wrong, good vs. evil is a never ending one and its lines will be forever blurred. My only gripe with this book is that right when it started getting extra juicy, it ended. I wanted to feel the aftermath of the turmoil. To see how "holier than thou Adam" dealt with his sheer "unholiness." Who gets to determine what's good and what's bad anyway???? Sometimes it's just so so good to be so so bad.

Another taboo winner

Like I've said in another review, I do enjoy taboo erotic, and this was another goodie from Selena Kitt. Although the blurb does say that Adam is Lily's stepfather, it's not mentioned in the story, so it does seem like they're biological father-daughter. Either way, I enjoyed this quickie, and liked how all of the scriptures actually added to the naughty feel. Again, this definitely is not for everyone. Know your limits before buying this one.

Apparently taboo Preacher stories do it for me...

Well, I liked this one! HA! Go figured the one about the Preacher and his 'daughter' is the one that makes me go OH YEEEEAAHHHHH!!!!!

It wasn't he 'incest' theme either. It was the PREACHER theme. I have this whole totally forbidden deal that makes me hot and bothered. See, I'm an atheist looking in at organized religion. So, of course I watched all the corruption and judgey people squaring off with us 'sinners'. Well, when you stick a Preacher, who catches is 'daughter' with a guy on HALLOWEEN aka: The Devils Night and his way of punishing her is so flipping awesome!

I was like "Get her, yes, take it, get her."

Yeah, yeah I'm dirty and going to hell, WHATEVER! I found my naughty spot and I ain't making ANY apologies for it! Give me more dirty Preachers! Better yet, give me some hot dirty Priests that will hit the button!

Quick and good

As usual Selena has done an excellent job at writing this erotic story. I really liked this one just wish it was longer.

I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would. And step-daddy has just the right amount of anger at his "bad, bad" daughter. Hummmmm. Great ending.

Gay Lovers Through History

Richard Labonté has brought together four M/M erotic novellas set in eras before "gay identity"existed. LaBonté has edited many fine erotica anthologies his taste is superb and I'm glad he set his mind to producing this collection of longer fiction.

The writers in this collection have found space for great tenderness, intimacy and passion in stories of the Civil War, the Gold Rush, the Great Depression, and the infamous biblical city Gamorrah. Each one lustful, romantic, and historically spot-on.

Erotically Charged and Challenged...

Some of the stories in this anthology are absolutely brilliant with something to say, while others feel like they are merely about sex. Seeming to start with the best and move toward the worst in the last one. At times poignantly poetic and so beautiful that it made me weep. Very interesting conceptual idea and for the most part an interesting look at gay sex through a historical lens. Very hard to give it an accurate rating.

Great writer with a great voice

What made the experience of listening to Hypnotized the most enjoyable?

Rose Caraway could read the phone book and make it sound sensual. fact that this is her words, read by her made it even hotter. Not only is Rose Caraway a GREAT narrator, but she is proving herself to be a great writer of EROTICA.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All but EVE especially, after all it really is her story.

ROSE has a sensual voice that makes her story telling irresistable! Her attention to detail is amazing, and the characters are realistic. I see her work easily transitioning into video. Above all she has an incredibly sexy imagination!!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Eve because she is an average woman that has lived in the shadows of the desired people. And she grows through her innocense and inhibitions. She is almost an ugly duckling. Fortunately she develops into a truly sexy woman.

I have never been attracted to super hot women because they are only into themselves. So Eve is my type of woman. And Rose knows how to hit that button hard.

I have listened to all of her work I am aware of.

Rose just keeps getting better as she goes. I admit that this story in it's short version forced me to listen to it many times. I love the story and to hear Rose's voice while I work makes my day go by a lot better.
