    Really Good Book
I really liked this book. For once the hero did all the running after the heroine instead of the other way around.
    Welcome to a different twist
I have to say that I had doubts till the last chapter but the author just made it there by me. I have to commend the author's guts in making the plot work. I love that the story covered a period of time, it made it more realistic. I could have rated this easily five stars but even though the end was satisfying, I was not totally convinced of the H's depth of feelings for the h. Even during their intimate moments, his thoughts were "mechanical' and lacked romance. The heroine and the strength of her character saved the day for me. I still would recommend this for a good read.
    Solid secret baby romance.
Good enough read to not let you think you are wasting your time. This is not as good as Emma Darcy "Secret Baby Revenge". The hero in this book was kind of shallow. The heroine wasn't much better. I guess you ask why 4 stars? Emma Darcy. Her writing moved the story along nicely and was entertainment enough for a hour or two. She's a hall of famer in the Harlequin Presents genre. You can't go wrong in reading one of her books.
    Enjoyed this book!
I really enjoy this author and this book was a very good read. The hero doesn't realize how much he hurt the heroine until closer to the end of the book. This book also covers a long period of time. I hate those harlequins that in a week's time they are madly in love and know that they will be happy forever. This is one in which love grew over time
    great
I so love this book. I've read it more than once. Anyone will enjoy this boo, good author. .. ..

    Boring and predictable...........
This was certainly easy reading, but it is the most predictable and boring book I have read in a long time. I just kept reading it and thought it would get better. It didn't. The characters were easy to like and I knew exactly what they were going to do before it happened. Gabi, is one of the sisters, who the family was concerned about because she was acting differently. She did not attend the family Thanksgiving gathering and no knew where she was. I thought as the book went on, the concern the family was expressing would be address and the reader would find out what was wrong. This did not happen. It is probably going to be the next story. I was very disappointed. I cannot and will not recommend this book to any of my friends.
Wait For Me To Find Myself
This book is the 1st in a trilogy about 3 sisters who return to the island of Sand Castle Bay off the North Carolina coast. This island was their summer home during their childhood and now they need to help their beloved and feisty grandmother repair damage to her home and business following a hurricane.
From the opening chapter you feel that this contemporary romance is going to follow a simple and predictable variation of the basic girl-meets-boy formula: (1) Girl meets boy at her grandmotherâs island home. (2) They fall in love over successive summers. (3) Girl leaves boy to seek her fortune. (4) Guy immediately rebounds into a marriage with one of the local girls and has a son but wife dies from a devastating illness. (5) Girl and guy reconnect, argue over the misunderstandings from the past, face a crisis or two but HEA is assured.
Then, only a chapter or two into the story, which is supposed to be about the sister named Emily, you find out that Emily is really not a character that is very easy to like or have sympathy for. Oh yes, she was ignored all her life by a workaholic father. And yes, she felt her boyfriend had betrayed her by marrying someone else almost immediately after she left instead of waiting for her to âfind herself.â
But then you find out in one of her internal monologues that she didnât ask him to wait for her, that she told him she wasnât coming back and she didnât ask him to come with her. And, to put icing on the cake, she told her sisters that he was a user, a manipulator and a neâer-do-well.

    Sweet Romance
This is a really sweet reunited lover tale. It has a real sense of strength in the main character. Such a heartwarming read.
Savannah is an intriguing character. She starts off as a naive young girl and then we jump ahead to six years latter. Big changes in six years, she is now an independent woman coming home. I loved her growth and change from the beginning of the book. She really does work for her change.
Daniel runs hot and cold for me. Sure he has trust issues, but boy does he hold a grudge. In the end I warmed up to him, but it was a journey.
The supporting cast was super fun, especially Miss Ida. They really round out the story and make it feel like a sweet hometown romance.
The bedroom door is firmly closed. They have some steamy thoughts and hot kisses, but the smexy stuff stays off limits. It is a sweet romance with hints of spice.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Laura Jennings, who is lovely. She does a great job with the characters and keeps the accents light. She has a great pace that moves along with the story. Very soothing tone. I loved her paired with this book and will definitely look for more of her reads.
Overall, this was a really sweet read, I like a sappy romance every now and again. Nothing too deep but very satisfying in the end. I am becoming a fan of Ms Fasano's style. Sometimes you want a nice and easy romance without tons of drama. This really hit the spot!

    Language: English
    Release date: 01-10-13

    Publisher's Summary:
So what if Laurel Morgan hadn't had a date since the senior prom? If all it would take to convince her teenage sister to consider college was to go on a few dates and have some fun, it was a bet she could beat. And before she could change her mind, sexy forest ranger Michael Walker agreed to play the part of her ardent admirer!
Laurel never expected Michael's acting abilities to be quite so convincing. Whenever her sister was watching, Laurel found herself wrapped in a heady embrace with a passionate kiss on the way. Her captivating cohort promised a performance that would win her the wager, but when the curtain closed, would she lose the only man she would ever love?

    title fits book
What three words best describe Nicole Colburns voice?
Somewhat stilted. A little sing song. IT wasn't natural, say "A" instead of pronouncing aa.
    Any additional comments?
The story seemed to just repeat the weak conflict. While it would work for a while -- the acting as if they were a couple to show her sister she could have fun and her sister to agree to consider college. The early nasty attitude to him over and over just didn't ring true to keep his interest.
never go wrong with a Donna Fasano book!
This is a slightly reworked version of the debut offering from Donna Fasano, with some language choices changed to reflect the new millennium. But, what hasnt changed in the years since this book was written to now is the authors characteristic and omnipresent positive and hopeful stories with characters to enjoy. Laurel is the older sister to Ginny, a bit of a handful highschooler with a devil-may-care attitude. Laurel is serious, far more than she should be, and somewhere along the line her fun gene went poof.
Deciding that a change of scenery will help her reconnect with Ginny and get her back on the right path, a summer in a remote rural area may just be the key. So off they go, and the story is started.
From the mishaps to miscommunication, and one seriously sexy man, Laurel has her hands full dealing with culture shock, a bored teen and her tendency to over-think and overanalyze everything, we see a huge growth in Laurel and Ginny and their relationship. Additionally, Michael and his attempts to make nice when he is constantly worried about the misinterpretations from Laurel and Ginnys striving for attention is completely real and he is easy to visualize with a confused look on his face. Laurels lack of confidence yet determination to see Ginny have what she couldnt is more telling of the quality of woman she is, and with the right key, will become all the time.
Narration for this story is provided by Nicole Colburn: slight modulation adjustments in tone, delivery speed and pitch accompany the story without providing a great distraction. A few small enunciation errors provide minor hiccups in what is ultimately a fun and sweetly romantic story.
If you are a fan of sweeter romance, and appreciate characters that feel as if they could be you or your friends, this is the book for you. Romance fans who want their happy ever after, and find themselves occasionally wishing they were in the pages of a romance story will never go wrong with a story written by Donna Fasano.

2 great holiday stories for the price of one!
I have to say I am so glad I got the Blaze subscription. I like getting great titles that are a surprise to me. I also like checking out new authors. Very nice that two titles are automatically delivered every month. With this selection it was worth it because I got two great stories in one.
The 1st story is the "The Prince Who Stole Christmas" by Leslie Kelly. Its a cute fairy tale about a prince who comes to New York to find the love of his life. That prince would be Phil and the love of his life is Claire Hoffman. The things these two find do with chocolate; well lets say it's very steamy. I give this 5 starts. Narration - good.
The 2nd story is "My True Love Gave to Me" by Jennifer LaBrecque. This one was so touching. Two best friends grow up together, but grow apart as adults. Trudy and Knox find each other again. Knox now has to win back the best friend he took for granted. I love stories that take place during the holiday season. Trudy and Knox turn up the heat and the sexual tension is totally hot between these two. Very believable characters. This one gets 5 starts too, narration also very good.

    Sexy Mythical Romance
I enjoyed Selena Kitt's other two mythology romances, The Surrender of Persephone and Blind Date, and I enjoyed this one too. It's the story of Orpheus and his love, Eurydice, with a twist ending I didn't quite see coming but I thought was very clever. The sex is hot and the story kept me listening to the end. I'd like to see a sequel to find out what happens to the other two side characters!
nauseating, sickly sweet meant for a 14 year old.

    Critic Reviews:
[A] dreamy and lyrical paean to all things French a fascinating portrait of women of color who defy family and tradition to follow love (Publishers Weekly)
    Members Reviews:
This Novel Weaves In And Out Like The Streets of Paris.
This is a superb novel about life in the paradise called Paris, France. However, it's not just about Jazz, poetry readings, walks in the park or eating fine meals. It's also about real life. The characters in the novel live from Oakland, California to Paris, France. It's as if their lives are so energized one place can't contain them. They have to live from ocean to ocean. PASSING LOVE by JACQUELINE LUCKETT is about love, deep love between men and women. There is also the love between siblings. Who can really understand what happens between siblings? What really makes the relationship right, or so tedious with comparisons and jealousies. What makes one sibling different from another? One stronger? Add in the differences in biological fathers and mothers there is returned family secrets, prevarications and separations. In Jacqueline Luckett's novel I could see this tenacity to hold on to whom you choose to name as yourself. Yes, identity is what must be fought for with everything a person has in them in order to win the struggle of being "me" and not "you."
For example, there are three women: Malvinia, Ruby and Nicole. Each woman is related in a fashion to the other woman. However, each woman is totally different whether mother and daughter or sisters. It becomes more than words can describe when a man is added. Two women wanting the same man makes life more than interesting or dangerous. The man is Squire Handy With these ingredients Life becomes like a twisted brioche. Each woman pulling for her slice of the hot French bread.
However in the process of all their lives Paris never seems to beat them down except for the saxophonist. Just proving a place is called the City of Lights it will never satisfy every person in it. I would say that Paris disappointed him. He wanted, needed to return to the states to get his Jazz groove back. Nobody heard his plea because they were bewitched by Paris's glow. His end wasn't pretty and unforgettable for his lover and friends. There is also much to learn about the soldiers from the end of WWI and the Second World War, the Black soldiers. The life of our American soldiers is a book in itself. Really, life is pretty complicated below the Eiffel Tower. Perhaps, it's more complicated when lived in a liberal city like Paris. This is a place where everybody loves a person no matter their color, but at the same time there is this soft undercurrent that catches some Blacks. This is where one can feel a little bit of the realityknocking against the fairy tale of all men are created equal, and we like living that way.

    Members Reviews:
    another strong Stuart story
Anne Stuart perversely loves to create a male who is far from a hero, and then provoke, tantalize and lure her readers into for falling him. She must set around and make lists of all the types of men in the world a woman would swear she would never fall for, then with a wry grin, she sets about to prove to us she can do just that very feat. She has given us a hitman, a thief, a court jester, a cult leader...well the list is endless. Just as I think she has hit the bottom of the list, I find yet another. This time she does her Stuart magic and casts the hero as the heroine's brother.
When Rachel Chandler was 12-years-old, her brother Emmett was involved with a radical group of protesters. A bomb accidentally blew up killing several people, along with Emmett's girl friend. Emmett alone survived, just the quirk of fate that he had been out getting pizzas at the time. Emmett vanished, last seen in Hawaii, but for fifteen years no one had heard from him. No one except Rachel Chandler. Every year on her birthday she receives a package, post marked from various places around the world. So, when word comes from her uncle that Emmett is back in Hawaii at the family home, even her fear of flying will not stop her from being reunited with the brother she hadn't seen for fifteen years.
Only Emmett is not quite how she remembers him. She feared Emmett might be given to gaining weight, but this man is hard, lean. He carries scars from varies fights, attesting to his being in foreign places where life is cheap. Emmett is not happy when Rachel shows up on his doorstep. Neither is her uncle. Rachel soon comes to fear Emmett is not Emmett and this impostor and her uncle are playing a charade in order to get at the vast fortune left in trust for the real Emmett.
Is a steamy sexy, shadowy novel that Stuart does so well, showing whether in full novels or series romance, no one can touch the resident genius of dark romantic tales. Another Stuart keeper - but then aren't they all?
Super-fast service! Excellent condition of book.
The book arrived faster than I expected and was in excellent condition. I would use this seller again!
I like the twist with the brother but the heroine was too unbelievable for me
I usually enjoy pseudo incestuous taboo love stories for the angst that comes with it and all that. So when I saw this book by chance in my Friends of the Library book sale and read the back cover: long lost brother?! âA man Rachel wants as she's never wanted another?!!!â I had to have it! Well, letâs just say it was just âalrightâ to me. In the beginning, there was this anticipation from me about the âbrotherâ. The audience already knows earlier in the book that the âbrotherâ is not really the brother. Of course our poor heroine doesnât know this. So in the first half of the book she is under this impression. Iâm sorry to say but I wanted to smack the heroine.

A Sweet Story When I Needed Distraction
I wouldn't say this was an outstanding book, but it was very sweet. The author obviously knows something of a NICU, which made it more interesting. The mistaken identity used was interesting.
The book was not very expensive, and it was a much needed light read during a very stressful time. Not all reading can be totally intense or even engrossing. This will fill a nice rainy afternoon. The narrator was very good.
    The longest four hours ever...
The only reason why I listened to this book through the end is the sense of Deja Vu I got. I had a preemie and she went through the same complications baby Simone went through in this story. This is a very light romance. The story was more about baby Simone and her hospital stay. I actually speed up the narration to 1.5 and 2 in order to get it over with. The narration was unremarkable. The Australian accent was very strong but clear.
    I don't recommend this book.
    Boring and predictable
It's not the worse, but really... It's so predictable that I knew the end in the beginning.

    Members Reviews:
So very very disappointing; what a lousy book!
I don't know which was worse, the book or the narrator. I hung on until the end of Sail Away hoping somehow that it might get better. It did not. If it was possible, what made it worse - actually truly dreadful - was the narrator. I have not heard her before - thank god. The book might have rated a 2 or even a 3 with a really good narrator. The heroine of the story was a spoiled brat, the hero shallow. I had absolutely no empathy for any of the characters and nor I doubt would anyone else, as they had no traits that were particularly likeable. In the past I have always enjoyed Lisa Jackson, but this must have been resurrected from her rubbish bin and won't do her reputation for writing best sellers much good. I'll try before I buy next time.
    Weak Romance
This romance was a severe dissapointment, I could not make a connection with either the male or female lead, The female lead is far to weak-willed to be interesting, and the male lead is an idiot. As a result the book just did not work. This is one of the few books that I was simply unable to finish. I hope that Ms. Jackson's mysteries are a lot better, as most reviewers seem to feel. But for a romance writer there are many better choices. Elizabeth Lowell, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, and Susan Mallery all come immediately to mind, along with a whole galaxy of both Historical and Regency writers.
    suspenseful and exciting
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, Lisa Jackson keeps you quessing on who is the bad guy all the way through the book with lots of twists and turns.
