All things being equal, people will do business with those they know, like, and trust. If it is a close race, a personal relationship or connection will win out, because people know it is in their best interest to work with someone they can rely on.

The good news is, as Bob so eloquently shares, there is no division or dichotomy between being focused on people and having goals. People don’t buy from you because of your metrics, but your metrics will help you set a path to helping as many people as possible.
