Truly Enjoyed

I enjoyed this book. I am a new fan of Rachel Gibson and have several of her books.

This book was pretty good, but I really like it all wrapped up in a tidy bow in the end. Maybe for me I just want too much. Delaney walks away again after Nick hurts her one more time and this time it may be for good. Yes, he is a jerk but she can't help the fact that she loves him.

It would have been nice to see what happened like what the mothers felt and did after they realized that Nick and Delaney really were getting married and loved each other to distraction.

I also felt tormented a little at the back and forth but that also kept my attention and interest in the book. The characters were developed and I think the narrator did a good job.

I had this book a while and finally listened to it this week and came away satisfied. You will not be disappointment and this book is worth the credit.

Hot!

I was really happy to see that audible recently released more of her books. I think this is so far my favorite Rachel Gibson audio. The entire story, from start to finish was interesting, funny and entertaining. The hook up scenes were pretty hot and sprinkled throughout the entire story! This is definitely credit worthy and worth the hours of lost sleep.

Truly Madly A Must Read!

Wow! Truly Madly Yours by Rachel Gibson is a great read. The characters are well developed, and Emma Bates' narration is believable as she helps bring the story to life. Couple a misunderstood, bad boy and an innocent girl from a prominent family, just on the verge of rebellion, and you have a the beginnings of a great romance.

Warning: Strong sexual content is included, making this inappropriate for some audiences.

OK--charming, but predictable

The story line was pretty good although it didn't have any surprises. The narration varied in quality as many times it was confusing who was talking.

Delaney was a bit of a whinner, and let everyone walk all over her. She spent a lot of time chasing after Nick , practically begging him to have sex with her.. can't tell you how many of Delaney's dialogue started with "No man ever did this for me" A n n o y I n g.

Ah What We Do For Love

I really love this series by Jennifer Probst and the narrator does great job. It's a love story with the past history of hurt and anguish then a fresh new challenge for Gavin to try to erase his running away years ago to find himself and now finding his one true love Miranda again so the wooing and romance begins again. Lovely story. If you are a romantic at heart this story is for you, worth the credit.

EASY-GOING LIGHT ENTERTAINING LOVE STORY

A typical contemporary chic lit romance about mistakes, forgiveness, second chances and love.

Focused mainly on Gavin and Miranda's relationship as a chance encounter makes him realise just what he walked away from and that there's still hope if she'll only give him a second chance (coz he was a bad bad boy). So he begs her for forgiveness assuring her that he, and his priorities, have changed and slowly tries to rekindle their love by any means he can. However, she was badly hurt by him in their past relationship and has erected a solid wall around her heart that will be hard to break through until all the truth comes out.

A sweet romance with some sex but it wasn't hot n heavy or very descriptive at all - there were a few other characters but they were just incidental to the main storyline which had it's funny moments as well as it's sad bits too.

Worth a credit? If you're looking for an easy going love story then this is your book.

Compilation of older stories....good storyline

The storylines in these books are ok. It was a couple of days of ok listen. Written in 2002-2004....so the writing is in the older style. I didn't like that so much. The narrator kept me in it. I didn't care for every voice she gave the characters but they were all distinctive. I think I purchased these on sale so it was worth the price but after I listened I went to Amazon and found these are rereleases compiled together. I really like the narrator.

A re-released book. Should have stayed in archive. Don't waste the hours or credits. Shallow characters, unbelievalbly repetative, a book of feelings with little action. If you enjoy listening to a character argue with herself, immaturely act like a stubborn 4 year old and whine about already stated feelings; this is for you. Felt like hours of someone's therapy session with a commercial hint of skeletal storyline playing in the background.

Book 3 and still as good!

I actually liked this story even more. A little more going on in it but.... I do think the ending was anti-climatic. These books always have a happy ending but it was almost like Miller got to the end and just wrapped it all up in a page. Confessions of love were a little unrealistic but hey, aren't all these romance books! Still dreamy and I loved the entire series.

Good story but should be listed under Erotica

The story was pretty good and kept me interested but because of the descriptive nature of the sexual encounters, this audiobook should probably be listed under the Erotica category.

The narrator did a pretty good job. I would like to listen to some more books she has done.

Alec is a wealthy man but he lets Jaya think he is a bartender. He is only supposed to be in town for a couple of weeks but he meets someone that makes him question his lifestyle.

Jaya is fired from her family company and is trying hard to find a new job but nobody is returning her emails or phone calls. Someone is trying to keep her from succeeding. Jaya gets involved with Alec. What was supposed to be a one night stand leads to much more than they both expected.

This audiobook was provided in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.

Yes, the book was good. Some of the terms was off putting because its not a realistic word used by normal people. "Hanky panky"

This was my first listen/story by this author, and I really enjoyed it. I would've liked for the narrator to sound more convincingly African-American (recognizing all Black people don't sound the same) to lend more authenticity to the telling. But, overall, the narrator still did a good job. But, in this instance, the narrator didn't carry the story; the story was good on it's own. And the narrator did it justice in large part. I really enjoyed the humor and heat most of all. It had small instances of explicit language, very very briefly. And the ending was a bit unconvincing, but I love love so....

The Other Side of the Tracks

Just finished "A Place to Call Home" . . . I wish I could give it TEN STARS . . . It's billed as a romance novel, but I beg to differ. I don't buy romance novels. But I bought this audio book. It IS a story of love, one that began in childhood, with a depth of compassion, bravery and loyalty that many adults could learn from. Deborah Smith is an excellent writer, capturing the essence of small town life in the south perfectly, the love of family, the "charity" for the "less fortunate", the turning of a "blind eye", the scenic back roads, and the "other side of the tracks". She puts a face on those that the "nice" people often choose to overlook. I find this most refreshing, having grown up as the daughter of an alcoholic and having Sunday School teachers who never spoke of it or acknowledged it. There is a reason that Jesus says we must come to Him as little children. I think that's the most striking thing throughout this book. Roan and Claire, damaged and hurt, kept the untarnished, unquestioned love for one another that began in childhood. When family failed, community failed, and even when they failed themselves, faith did not fail. This is by no means a religious book. But it's a clean book, it's a redemptive story. It brings people and their failings full circle.

Great book!

This was a funny, sad, up lifting and heart breaking story. The book is in 2 parts. Part one is when they are children. The things the little girl says and does mad me LOL... at work no less. The author really had a way with a child's point of view. Great Job! Part 2 jumps 20 yrs later. They come together and help one another threw past and present problems. This book is a true romance of the heart and sole. (So, not a steamy sex filled book.)

Big Rousing Family Summer Read-Enjoyable

A Place To Call Home is an involved story arc about a huge family-I was tempted at times to make a list of who went with what family, but I finally gave up and simply flowed with the tale.

I really got a kick of Smiths 'Claire' character.... as a youngster-a snotty tomboy with mean big brothers, she thought she had to be brash to make herself seen.

May-December Romance

A very eye opening story of a young woman who falls in love with an older man. The older man realized the age difference and has qualms about the involvement. He loves her, however, he feels she needs to experience life, and date young men her own age. It cuts him to the bone to let her go but he does, however there is an unseen complication that is a major game changer.

Light easy going and fluffy love story

Good looking older Doctor meets beautiful young model and they have plenty of sex - they battle their age differences - then its a happy ending. End of book!

If you're looking for a light, easy going love story then this is your book but if you like more action, adventure and drama then look elsewhere.

Aftershocks had too few shocks for me.

Enjoyable

This book was enjoyable to listen to. It has a different story line that I've listened to before and I liked it. It's rather R rated and one needs to be sure they would want to listen to that or not. All in all it was good.

Good narrator. Bad everything else

The narrator was the only saving grace of thus story. The heroine was a juvenile idiot twit. The hero was only slightly better. The story was banal and dated.

Honestly this book bored me. I found myself listening to the first two chapters then I skipped to the last chapter, even then I didn't listen to the whole thing. Not worth the time I wasted listening to this book and I'm a huge Lori fan.

Boring No Depth

The book was very predictable. It was my 2nd Lori Foster book, this one fell way short of the 1st. The author tries too hard to be funny. No one really decides to get married to provide a stable home for their dog...and I love my dogs. Granted, it was an inexpensive quick read.

Sexy.

Enjoyed the book. The old prostitutes were quite the shock but made great side characters. Part of a series, I believe this to be the last one.

Easy but Cheesy!

Story about a lawyer and playboy. Problem: Lawyers image gets dissed when caught on cameras and posted on blogs for displays of hot kisses and sex in inappropriate place. Interest: How the problem is solved.
