Tthe conclusion that completely warmed my heart and forever embedded Johnny in my heart!!! I'm so glad that I was able to read yet another amazing book by Michelle Mankin and to have loved another incredible performance by Kai and Wen!!!! I will definitely be recommending this series to my friends and family!!

Amazing ending to such a sweet beginning

I adored how this part tied everything up and made it all so so sweet. Everything between Johnny and Annabelle is so sweet and pure its beautiful to hear about. I loved listening to all the emotions (good and bad) that Kai and Wen projected into the finally of this series. With all the lies or misunderstandings how everything worked out shows the true beauty the world can hold and made getting to hear this story so much better.

My Two Pennies

So much had happened with Charles, Johnny and Anna in this book. I'm still team Johnny as I've been from the start and man oh man Charles is just vicious. I loved seeing how Anna was growing to be her own woman more and more and we got further along. At times I was shocked by the events that were taking place and then cheers when others happened. Such a great series to read, and the ending was perfect just perfect. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Keep Me by Michelle Mankin was a great conclusion to this great series. I completely fell in love with Annabelle and Johnny throughout this series. As I read this book I hoped they would end up together. I was very happy with the end of the story. I can't wait to read more by Michelle Mankin.

I loved this story so very much! It was amazingly written and expressed! I was completely shook by the ending though... I have questions and need for others to read it so that I may ask them!!

Warning - Worst Narrators EVER

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

On several occasions I tried to listen to this book. Finally by chapter 6, over the span of a year, I had to stop.

What could Jamie McGuire and Teresa Mummert have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Who are they? I still cannot even say what the book was about, who the main characters were, or what they were droning on about; the narration was just so incredibly bad.

What didnt you like about Nelson Hobbs and Carly Robins s performance?

Are they the narrators...The narration is just god-awful.

A person in a coma would wake up and scream for the readers to shut up!!!

Mixed feelings

I love Jamie McGuire, her books take you through a roller coaster of emotions. However, I have mixed feelings for this book. It was good, sweet, romantic. But at the plot twist I was so shocked and confused that I stepped away for a few days. Overall the story was good but I'm not sure if it's worth listening/reading again.

Can I just say I wish someone would post it's a cliffhanger and a cliffhanger that doesn't have the sequel finished yet!!! Ugh! Love the story and of course SEBASTIAN YORK, but please change the female narrator for the next book! U can't go from SY voice to her imitation of a male narrator...ugh awful! Motor City Love

The book has everything hope, mystery, murder, romance, hot sex, speed & a whopping cliffhanger. I am so disappointed that book 2 is not yet available on Audible but I will be the first to pre order when the time comes. this was the first book I read by this author and I'm impressed with the depth of a book I thought would only be about the sex & love. As usual Sebastian York kills it as Jasper Storm. CJ was good but not my fav lady narrator.

I wanted to reread Set the Pace before the next book comes out. I decided to get the audio book . I am so glad I did. The voices of Jasper and Charlie were perfect. I really enjoyed listening to it. Love this book and loved the audio version as well. I hope the same people narrate the next book.

Sebastian rocks Jasper but CJs a forget me not!

Unfortunately I found the female delivery long breathy paragraphs one dimensionally provided the same emotions regardless of the circumstances happening, the characterization/delivery was flat with redundant inflections. The book is going on well but it is a cliffhanger so get ready to hang.

Courage and love

I loved this story! I've read the book and listened to it again, and enjoyed aspects of both. The narrator did a great job of capturing the sweetness of the characters, and her voice was very pleasant to listen to. I loved the characters, even if I was a little frustrated with their actions (or lack of actions) at times. The author handled a difficult subject matter very well, and was able to keep the book clean while still helping us understand the depth of feelings the characters felt. Very well done!

Strange Narration but Good Story

This is a complicated love story between two musicians. Its a sweet take on rocker romance. The narration though had sighs and laughs to accompany the emotions and reactions. It was strange and a bit creepy. I've never heard a book read this way before - and I hope I never do again.

Kai was great.

Wen Ross sounds like a game show host, which makes it awkward when he says things like "dick" "pussy" etc. "That made my dick twitch....come on down!!!" you get it.

Oh and his Irish accent he used made the character sound like a bad Swedish imitation.

The story itself is good. The audio pretty much ruined the book.

My Soul to Keep by Kennedy Ryan was a great book. I loved reading Kai and Rhyson's story. Kai was a character that everyone can not only relate to but they care for. Kai lost her mother and the only other thing that mattered to her was her music. She is so focused on her dream and nothing can get in her way like the hottest singer. Rhyson always focused on his music but couldn't get Kai out of his head. I loved Kai and Rhyson's story and can't wait to read more.

Could've been a contender

It could've been great. But there was too much plot not enough character development. Poor editing, storylines started then dropped then picked up again at the very end just to wrap things up. Inconsistent. But I finished it.

Nope, not for me

I usually love JM books but in thus instance, it seems the reviews were correct ... cant actually recall much if the book, got through it but did stop half way and then resumed. It was just "blah blah" .. i didnt bond or like any of the characters, i just didnt care what happened .. it was a time filler

Not Bad

I'm probably not a great person to go by when it comes to reviewing Jill Mansell because I don't think I could ever dislike one of her books. That being said, I honestly didn't care for either of the lead male characters. I enjoyed listening but I didn't care one way or the other how the story ended. I wasn't pulling for anyone. If you're looking for a light happy story - this will do.

It was a great book, but the ending was a little rushed. Also the epilogue was a let down it.

Retribution

I LOVED that this book had two different narrators for parts if the book, I thought they were both perfect.

This book is a waiting game. You learn more about the characters than you see action. But, the wait is good. Definitely not a whole lot of happy going on. The character's thought process, hopes, fears, FEELINGS are so well portrayed that you just get suckered into the story.

Happy with the way the book ended but, there were a few loose ends, hopefully meaning more to the series!

An awesome conclusion!

The twists in the story are killer! I first fell in love with Whitney Barbetti's writing with the prequel to this book. I loved the story so much, I couldn't wait to see what she might come up with for the characters. I was both surprised and impressed by the events in this book. Juliandra! Mira is one of my favorites in the book and I hope to hear her story some day soon.

I have to admit, I was shocked to hear the voice chosen for Julian. I think the performance was incredible, but his voice was wrong. At least to me. It was way too deep and harsh. Not at all what I expected, or how I envisioned Julian's voice. I even laughed out loud when he started talking. I was so surprised. lol. But definitely another awesome audiobook!!

It's over a already?

The only complaint I can possibly have for this book is that it was over so quick. I wanted it to take up days of my life but one day and done it just too short.

I absolutely love this author's ability to write these amazing words like it's nothing. The anchor and the star, so poignant to me. Although this is a romance it is completely tasteful and although there are aspects of abuse and violence, it is not focused on. What is focused on is the strength of Cora. The strength of love. The mystery and suspense was executed perfectly. And although this is a series, you aren't left with these huge cliffhangers that leave you feeling unsatisfied.

Just loved it.

The female narrator is brilliant again in this sequel. I did not care for the male narrator, not enough emotion... Kind of monotone.
