The way I look at the people I'm approaching is on a scale of 1 to 10. From 1 to 5, there's not an option to introduce them to the book. I've learned by looking at the way people are reacting to me. Some people don't react at all; they pretend I'm not there. Other people, they say, "I'm in a hurry," or they just wave you off. Those are in the 1, 2s, 3,s 4s, 5 is you get somebody who smiles at you, but with no teeth like this, and you think, "Why bother? If you're not going to show your teeth when you smile, that's at a 5."

You get a sense that they're not really that interested. But when it starts getting to 5.1, 5.2, and 6, those people are very open. So rather than trying to convince everybody, even the people who say, "I'm not interested," I'm more liberal in letting them go. If I see there's a chance, then I'll go for it, and then the more people that go by, the more opportunity I have to meet the 6s, the 7s, and the 8s, rather than really pushing it with the other ones.

Does that make sense? So rather than convincing, I'm more selective. I've given this example many times, like picking fruits.
