Forget James Bond

There's a new action hero in town and his name is Lucas Knox. Forget James Bond this sexy as sin man can melt a girl's panties clean off and kick ass doing it. This book is filled with lots of action. That puts you in the story right beside Lucas. It then keeps you turning pages until you scream because the book has ended in a nail biting action. I can't wait for the next book to come out in 2018.

BLAKE Hudson has done a wonderful job with his first book and I'm looking forward to reading many more.

Absolutely amazing debut!

I'm hooked! The suspense, the action, the intrigue, the heart stopping adventure of the whole book. Waiting until January 2018 will be excruciating! Blake how could you do this to us? Making us wait is awful. The story has a reminder on my calendar already for January 1st.

This is a book you must read! If you enjoy a fast paced, action filled, surprise packed story you MUST read Mr. Lucas Knox!!!

Beyond expectations.

Blake's debut novel genuinely blew me away. I don't have expectations reading an author I've never read before, or a book that's the start of a series. Going in, I knew it would be action packed. The attention to detail, world building, details on action scenes, connecting dots; it was all written so incredibly well!! The character development though is the most crucial, and the creation of Lucas Knox sealed the deal. He's definitely a character to follow in his adventure, and watch develop in this fantastic new series.

Loved it!

The plot more than thickens! I loved all the action and enjoyed each characters personality (well most lol but all well developed). Lucas Knox is definitely intriguing ...but the cliffhanger © ...when is book two?! LOL I cant wait.

This is another good entry in the "Bell Elkins" series of novels. Similar to the other Bell Elkins mysteries, the story is well plotted and makes good use of the West Virginia setting. In this novel, Ms. Keller weaves a real event--- a 1970s flood caused by a burst dam made of coal slag--- into the plot which enhances the sense of place in the novel. I also like how Ms. Keller has developed her characters over the series. Ms. Keller's characters are not "stick figures" but well drawn characters that the reader comes to care about. I like mysteries where there is a lot of character and not just an intricate who done it. That is why I like these stories.

Well-written, interest-grabbing, ingenious mystery

This is the first Julia Keller novel I've read. I loved her descriptive language, her character development, and her intelligent plot. The irresponsible coal companies' destruction of the gorgeous West Virginia land and the dangerous slurry they left behind, leaving death and destruction in its path, and the dangerous conditions in the coal mines, add a meaningful dimension to this mystery. For the deaths and destruction, these companies and their levels of owners above them, paid little -- Royce Dillard being a pitiful example -- and by putting a face and a name to the damage done, Keller serves readers well. Goldie the dog added a welcome bit of love and kindness to the story. I enjoyed this book tremendously, though the conclusion, while unexpected, was not entirely credible. If four-and-a-half stars were possible, therefore, I would have rated this book that way. Well-done and ingenious mystery. I will be reading more of Keller's Bell Elkins novels.

Love my West Virginia acquaintances, more!

I love Belfa and have loved getting to know her and her story. I am captived by the stories of these coal mining towns. It was, and is, such a hard life but it was, and is, a living for these people who live where fast food, Wal-Mart, and factories aren't. I loved Royce and his story brought tears to my eyes.

Well written and suspenseful from start to finish , this is a page turner. People have confused Luke with someone else and those helping him stay alive are as interesting as those trying to kill him. A good spy novel read.

Recommend this well-written book

This book is very well written. The complex plot lines are resolved and don't leave the reader confused. Interesting international "thriller" without being in the spy genre.

Well plotted with lots of twists and turns.

Keeps you guessing to the end. Well rounded characters, intriguing settings and fast paced action. Oh, and you want to follow up with the sequel of course.

Outlandish

Unbelievable story, but a great read. Fast flowing and an exciting adventure. A good travelog and recommended to all who like a suspenseful journey.

Just what I needed!

I'm a full-time student near Albuquerque, NM, and had been under a ton of pressure to finish the end of the term well. I was exhausted from studying for my first Final exam when I was able to listen to this superb story. The actors were great at playing their parts, and I found the experience to be a welcome escape from the pressure I'd been under. I'm definitely going to buy another, and I am recommending this and sirenaudiostudios.com to my friends and family. Apparently I'm not the only one who likes the "Calgon take me away" effect that listening to one of these provides. You don't even need to have your eyes open. Do yourself a favor. Give one a try.

Great story presented in a unique format

I listen to a lot of audiobooks and this is one of my favorites. It has the feel of an old-fashioned radio play and the voice actors are superb. The 'coming home' theme and all it's inherent challenges grabs the reader immediately as does the charismatic main character. Ms. Baker weaves an engaging story that had me sitting in the garage an extra ten minutes with the car on because I couldn't NOT know what happened next. This is cozy mystery at its very best.

Amazing Story

I absolutely love this audio book. The story is amazing and I can listen to it again and again.
