Hilarious and Sexy

Best Man For Hire is the third novel in the Front and Center Series. I have read the previous two so I knew I would be in for a hilarious and sexy ride and that is exactly what I got. Each book follows a different sibling in the Patton Family and they are one amazing bunch...

Grant Patton is on leave to attend his sister, Sheri's Wedding in Kauai, Hawaii and has been recently recruited as the best man. He doesn't think he deserves to be the best man enough though everyone thinks he is the perfect Boy Scout, inside and out but he has a secret. One he can't move on from. He sees his brother Mac in love and married and his sister engaged but he does not see himself getting married...ever.

Anna is a wedding planner for non-traditional and some traditional weddings. She has a few weddings in Kauai including her friend Kelli's new sister in law, Sheri to work and has enlisted her sister to go along with her as her assistant. Anna might love her job and see all the happiness in her client's faces when they say "I do" but she doesn't plan on ever saying those two words in her lifetime.

When Grant and Anna do meet it has to be the funniest first meeting I have read. And when they meet up again, it was just meant to be. Now that Anna needs a new photographer, Grant is it. He might be a military man but he can also take great shots at more than a target. He is a real Boy Scout in Anna's eyes but she sees something deeper and she wants to prove that he has a darker side. A side he doesn't show to anyone. And Grant wants to know more about Anna and why she plans weddings but won't ever be a bride. He doesn't blame her but wants to know the story and she wants to know his. Will they just have a fling on a tropical island or will they want more? Can Anna bring out his darker side?

Grant and Anna are just so fun. Every time something doesn't go right they can still make it exciting. They go through some hilarious and exciting moments. They also go through some emotional ones they didn't see coming.

Overall, I loved it! Love the series and can't wait for more. Each book is unique and each sibling is too. The brothers are military men, sexy and good to their women. Sheri is extremely funny and her friend Kelli is let's just say...very open. And Mrs. Patton is a bad ass Mama.

Taste-y Treat!

Would you consider the audio edition of Taste to be better than the print version?

The audio is really good, but the book is better.

What other book might you compare Taste to and why?

There aren't too many writers in the genre who write in first person present tense so I can't really compare this book to others. It's a sweet, contemporary romance that's light, yet full of chemistry. Steamy, sexy, and fun.

What does Brittni Pope bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?

Great accents.

Very funny, emotional and made me cry in a good way.

Romance for Foodies

Love this story. The narration of Taryns accent is fantastic and the women are sweet and likable with just enough angst and steam. Even though the characters have a teacher/student relationship, the relationship never seems like its dominated by either character. The women have an equal partnership and they both respect each others feelings as their lust and love grow. Ive listened to this a few times. Sweet feel good romances are my favorites and this one does not disappoint.

Do not read on an empty stomach

This is a great read and a beautiful love story, however, you will grow hungry if you do not take the time for a snack before endulge your romance fix.

Perfect story

For someone who doesnt cook this was an interesting story to follow... great characters, great story...

Brittni Pope was mostly a good narrator, but the accent of Tarin was Australian and not South African... :) all in all great job.

Enjoyed the story

I liked the story overall but it felt like a novella. Even though it was well written there were no back stories for any of the characters. Why does Ki change professions, how can she afford to and no background on her family where's her dad why no interaction with any siblings.

I listened to the book and as I am South African I am found Taryn's accent more Australian or Kiwi and miles too flat for the South African accent.

Take this book a turn it into a full fledged novel build out the characters and make them more three dimentional rather paper cut outs.

This book is a good foundation for a really good novel. The restaurants, the academic institution are all wonderful canvases to tell a story around.

I was left unsatisfied.

Noble Intentions

Daniel is a self-made man. He grew up poor but his mother pushed and encouraged her kids to become more. She worked hard to get them scholarships to private schools and then to prestigious colleges. Both of her kids have made something of themselves, but when Daniel gets a call about an upcoming reunion with his private school classmates, he's reminded that he doesn't have the privilege and last names of those he went to school with and is dreading going. His assistant recommends that he finds a date to take to the reunion and sets him up with a matchmaker. Just hours after meeting with her, she calls him with someone he has to meet.

Barrister Robert Ashton is surprised to find out that his uncle has died and he's inherited the title of Earl. Along with the title, he's inherited two properties that have been in his family for ten generations. He's taken to view the properties which are both in disrepair. He's overwhelmed with the repairs needed and unable to pay for them. When discussing what to do with the properties, including selling, his mother throws the crazy suggestion of marrying for money, much like families have done for generations. Robert is not interested in her suggestion and doesn't think the plan will work, but his mother sets him up with a matchmaker. The matchmaker introduces him to Daniel Fabian. I loved both Robert and Daniel's characters. They were good guys with big hearts, and aren't afraid of hard work. Though neither realize it, they're both looking for that connection they find in each other and family. The story is written from both characters' POV, and at one point Robert referred to an object in a way that only someone from England would and I realized what a spectacular job the author did of providing distinct voices for each character.

Once I started reading this book, I was drawn into it and hated to put it down! It's such a beautiful story with a great ending.

"Castle of Love" by Barbara Cartland reads wonderfully well for most of the book. The heroine was stronger than some of her other heroines have been. The hero was a curious blend of strong will, compassion, and graciousness. The story has a villain that plays off the other characters in the story well in the beginning but is unbelievable by the end.

Fun

I really liked this one, it is a very short one.

So to fall in love with it, it's to short, but to have a good and hot time this is

fabulous.

The blurb had me hooked, it was a story that I don't think I've ever read before.

All the talking about the large and expensive houses made me dream,

but then again who wants a big house? All the cleaning.. Or knowing me, I would get lost.

It was also very steamy, with big windows in the bedroom.

I would suggest it as an in between or when you got little time.

Sorry for the short review but I'm not good in reviews when it's a short one.

Derek has been hurt in the past and doesn't trust anyone. Penelope comes along and he can't take his mind off of her (and other parts too). Things get out of hand during her showings of different houses. He doesn't want to buy because he wants her. It's a nice book. Steamy pages to get your mouth watering but..that's in. You don't get into his life till the last part of the book and really nothing much of her life. It's ok of a book. Is it work 2.99? I personally think...no. Is it worth .99 yes. If you get this book at a price drop, go for it and smile. Me, I'm going to return mine so others can enjoy it.

I know how I always mention this, but it needs to be fixed. incorrect words, grammar errors through out; people this needs to be fixed, sooner than later.

More like her older writing.

Like this story a lot because it's more like her writings of earlier books .

The heroine is very smart and can take care off herself to an extent. She still needs him but not to the extent that she can't do anything alone...

This was such a romantic love story with Holly Larson in love with her brother Jace's best friend Dalton Thomas ever since she was a teenager. Now older she wanted him to notice her as more than just a friend and convincing him to notice her was unique by making up a lust list. They both worked at her family's firm and both promoted to project directors earning their promotions and now was working on the same projects together. Little did Holly know but Dalton has loved her for a long time but stayed away from her because of his best friend Jace and the Larson family that he worked for which was his dream job come true to him. When she approached him with her proposal for him to fulfill her lust list he could not turn her down for fear she would turn to someone else. How these two friends turn into lovers and Dalton finds love for the first time in his life and Holly gets her dream guy makes for an amazing story. In the end he was willing to give up everything to be with her even his dream job because she meant that much to him. This was a very hot sweet romance as Dalton and Holly got their happily ever after and hopefully got to keep his job and the Larson family was accepting of their relationship. I would love to read about Jace finding love next as he was such a loving brother to Holly and a great best friend to Dalton. I hope this becomes a series as this was a fabulous book.

50 Hidden Desires

I really liked this read from the always dependable Jessica Lemmon. The format of the "Bookshots" line is not wrong. I read this in a couple of hours and it was quick, sweet, and honestly felt like a complete story unlike the feeling I sometimes get when reading novellas in that they rush too much. The balance was great.

Plus, there's Holly and Dalton. There are a few trope categories that the couple could fall into, but I liked the friends-to-lovers one the best. The pacing of the development between Dalton and Holly was done really well, and the sense of history between them came through loud and clear.

HOT little quick read!

Once agsin Jessica delivers with this quick little fresh fun read about Holly & Dalton ! She manages to convince him to complete a list of her desires & it's a bit tricky since they work togthher and it's her brothers best friend! Need I say more?:) Excellent !
