It's been a week with a lot of exciting news for fans of Rugby League. The NRL saw what may go down as the best game of the season. The RFL & Super League have announced the competition will recommence in August 2nd with a triple header and revised format for finishing the 2020 season by the end of November. But perhaps most exciting for fans of the game in Canada was the announced of the Ottawa Aces inaugural head coach, Laurent Frayssinous.

What does 'le premier entraîneur-chef have in the works when it comes to forming his squad? How can we expect the team to play? And will Canadian athletes get an opportunity to shine and make the squad? So many questions and only time will tell.

Another exciting round of fast and furious NRL action concluded this past weekend punctuated by moments of individual and team excellence.

The RFL Laws Committee are now entertaining the idea of implementing the "six again" law from the NRL for the remainder of the 2020 season once restarted.

The Wolfpack bid a fond farewell to live wire hooker, Andy Ackers, as he joins the Salford Red Devils until the end of 2022; and the transfer rumour mill is abuzz with four big names associated with moves to the Wolfpack in 2021. What impact does this have on the rest of the Wolfpack squad?

The Two Howlers recap the successful relaunch of the NRL 2020 season picking up with a fast furious Rd.3 filled with plenty of action, highlights and record setting footy showcased! Parramatta jump out to top the table early built on the stingiest defense in the NRL era, whilst the ever mercurial NZ Warriors play a near perfect game to set the record for highest set completion rate in NRL history!

In general news, the North QLD Cowboys make a compelling argument for being Canadians' team in the NRL. The first Ashes Test Series between England & Australia for 17yrs is cancelled due to COVID-19. Ben Te'o is back in Rugby League; and Akuila Uate heads home to Aussie after being released from the last year of his contract with Huddersfield.

In Super League news, all 12 clubs voted unanimously to maintain the 2020 salary cap at GBP2.1m in a show of solidarity for the sport and it's players. But is it as clear cut as that? The short answer, no. Listen in for more details.

Turning ahead to this weekend & Rd.4 of the NRL is already underway and the Roosters have PUMPED the Broncos 59-0 in Thursday night's match up, but who will win the remaining fixtures? Will the Warriors continue where they left off? Will Parra keep their place a top the table, or will Canberra Raiders take the spoils of war vs. the Knights? And, at the foot of the table, will one head coach's fate be sealed come the full time whistle?
