This week I had the honor of connecting with Sarah Stevens founder of The Beautifull Project, which invites women to challenge the notion that they must shrink in order to fit, and supports them as they learn to use their voice and take up space. In this super powerful conversation we talk about what it means as leaders to step FULLY into our calling and accept ourselves from the inside out.

This week we are talking about tuning IN to your intuition and being willing to take immediate action on that “still small voice.” I also give an update on the show and a small change that we are making.

Ariel Garten says that she has always been fascinated with how the brain and mind work. As a psychotherapist, neuroscientist, and a former fashion designer (who used clothing to teach concepts of psychology) Ariel knew that she wanted to create something that had a positive impact in the world. Her company Muse uses cutting edge technology to help guide users into a peaceful meditation in order to promote the daily practice of meditation.
In this episode, we talk about what actually HAPPENS in the brain during meditation, what the goal of meditation actually is, and how as leaders and entrepreneurs we can use meditation to become more productive and in tune with our work. If you struggle with quieting your mind and want to bridge the gap between KNOWING you should meditate and actually practicing meditation...this episode is for you!

This week, we are talking with my friend Roman Roberts about his experiences growing up in the foster care system and the implication that has had on him as a man, father, and husband. Roman shares with us about what it has been like to navigate stepping into leadership and a “higher calling” after enduring trauma.
This is such a real and raw episode that I am excited to share with you because it shows that the thing that you think disqualifies you is often the very thing that helps you make an impact in this world.

From Today's Episode:
Do you get bored with drinking the same protein shakes every day? Maybe you have tried every fad diet out there but still, haven’t gotten the results you want. Or maybe you just feel like you have mental fog and feel sluggish throughout the day. Regardless of where you are on your health journey, there are a few key things that you may not be doing but can greatly benefit from.
Our guest this week, nurse practitioner and founder of CHT Wellness, LLC, Cynthia Thurlow talks with us about intermittent fasting, functional nutrition, and how speaking at a TEDTalk about her 13-day stay at the hospital changed her life. We dive into why pills aren’t always the best way to treat health problems and how we can implement daily strategies that can help increase both our physical health and our brain health as well.

What is at the root of disrespect?
Show Notes:
After getting a phone call that his younger sister had been raped, Mike Domitrz decided to dedicate his life to teaching the concept of "respect" in schools, businesses, and organizations all over the world.
He shares a powerful story of how he and his family were able to shift the inevitable pain and anger they felt after this experience and pour their energy into "leading with love" and fighting to shift the way a culture views respect and consent. After two decades in this business, he has powerful insight of what we can do as leaders (and human beings) to create a culture of respect in our homes, teams, and relationships.

Sometimes we feel limited to only a few choices in life. We need to go to this school, get this degree, and take the best paying job we can find. Creating a life on your own terms seems far fetched. However, my friends... there ARE people out in the world who are able to use their gifts and talents in unconventional ways and live a life free and in control of their time.
I was super honored to connect with Michael Venn, and incredible Youtuber, English teacher, juggler, actor, (etc., etc.) about how he has used platforms like YouTube to build a brand and business around the kind of life that he wanted to live. I have been following Michael for a couple of years now and it was so cool to hear in his own words how he has shaped his career, his best Youtube tips, and a word of encouragement to listeners that it is “never too late.”
