HPAW Game Podcast

The cake is still a lie, but it does not matter, because we are robots now! The HPAW cast moves to do its first ever PC co-op marathon using a computer built out of spare parts. Mempf, Teclis, Kaisuke, WorldGone Awry and Biske come together to complete the cooperative testing experience that is Portal 2. This may be Biske’s last HPAW event as both he and Teclis are leaving the country in a few days (Teclis will be back in a month).

Playing as Atlas is both Mempf and WorldGone Awry and playing as P-Body we have Kaisuke and Teclis. We recorded the “Atlas” computer in 720P+ resolution for your viewing pleasure. Haven’t played the single player? Don’t worry as this marathon kept single player spoilers to a minimum. Just relax and enjoy us struggle to figure out Portal 2’s puzzles, who knows, it might even be funny!

Patch 1.2 released for Crysis 2. This has apparently fixed the Nano-Catalyst and melee after death bugs.  I have not yet tested the accuracy of this. Never the less, this entire marathon was filmed at version 1.1 and was affected by the previously mentioned bugs.

Crysis returns to the world again, and we have a marathon to cover it. Welcome to HPAW’s Crysis 2 Marathon played on PC (version 1.1). Joining us into the battered city of New York is survival expert WorldGone Awry, Teclis, Kaisuke, Nw Striker and our soup expert Biske (will he even read this?). I (Mempf) will be the one playing this marathon where a large focus will be exploration of the environments and collection of the collectibles. Will Crysis 2 live up to its name? Watch our marathon and find out!

Today is Sunday March 27th, the day the Nintendo 3DS launched and Teclis, Kaisuke and Mempf travel to the same place we went to get our DS. This is largely unedited and will be split into two parts: The Retrieval and The Unboxing. Please enjoy, Crysis 2 Marathon Parts to appear soon.

HPAW takes a suggestion from the forums! This week we have WorldGone Awry playing the beginning of Amnesia: The Dark Descent (I am aware I repeatability incorrectly called the game Amnesia: The Darkest Descent). WorldGone Awry should be well out of his comfort zone as he is unable to fight the insanity that consumes him. We have our full new cast (that’s right people World is back) and thought we would change it up a bit before the madness of next week begins (Crysis 2 and Nintendo 3DS), enjoy!

Welcome to 2011 HPAW fans! Since its already the second month of the year why not kick things off with a two part episode! Unfortunately 2011 also marks the departure of Kaisuke as a cast member (we look forward to future guest appearances!), however, we plan to fill his spot ASAP. Other than that we have a full cast and WorldGone Awry joining us as a guest. This two part special features the Crysis 2 Multi-player Demo (Xbox 360) in Part 1 and Dead Space 2 (PC) in Part 2. Both of these games are potential marathon games in the future. In addition we manage to squeeze in talking about usage based billing of internet in Canada and the riots of Egypt.

Welcome to the latest post-apocalyptic world of New Vegas and let WorldGone Awry be your tour guide in this wacky wasteland. Coming along for the ride as usual are Mempf, Teclis and Biske, so hold on to your hats and join us in the world of Fallout: New Vegas. This marathon will be filmed over multiple days (busy schedule’s are busy), however, this time we will be going back to our roots by letting WorldGone Awry use his own character made ahead of time and just jumping into that world (Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Marathon style). We hope you all enjoy our latest project!

HPAW is back with the newest game in the Call of Duty franchise. Black Light was kind enough to bring in his copy of the game and demonstrate both the exciting single player campaign and the refreshed multiplayer. Joining Black Light we have a full cast with a few things to talk about including our YouTube return and a new affiliated site Hellfire Commentaries. Enjoy!

We had to reschedule this weeks episode; however, since we had the group together we decided to film a preview to our upcoming Fallout: New Vegas Marathon!

We are going for a more “Oblivion” styled marathon starting arbitrarily along the story and doing what ever we feel like, the way Fallout is supposed to be. So please take a look at what is to come and enjoy!

HPAW is back after a two marathons in September with Kirby’s Epic Yarn! We have WorldGone Awry filling in for Biske.  Join us as we take a look at this beautiful artistic game that just makes you feel good.

It has finally arrived, the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Marathon! Join Mempf, Teclis and Kaisuke on the latest (but chronologically first) Kingdom Hearts game on the PSP. This marathon is starting as first encounter meaning on one here has played the game previous to filming the marathon.

We don’t claim to be experts at the game nor is this intended as a guide in anyway. We decided to play the game on proud mode to unlock the secret movie. The first “chunk” of the marathon was filmed in 24 hours and yielded over 12 hours of footage. This is as far as we have filmed as of the writing of the sentence. We do plan on filming more of the game although “finishing it” has yet to be decided, however, anything filmed after that first “chunk” may not be first encounter.

There is also a “How Many Deaths?” contest on the forums, entries will close when Part 6 is posted. There will be prizes! Now with that all said let’s get to the marathon!
