For 15 years Dick Brogdon was Boyd's right hand man and supervisor of Hot Rods by Boyd. Dick along with his wife Melba helped Boyd and crew manage the business and oversee the operations at the shop. Leaving Illinois in 1986 Dick and Melba moved to CA to work for Boyd. During their 15 years with Boyd a lot of iconic vehicles were built and a lot of stories accumulated. We sat down with Dick to talk about some of those times.
