Bob Janis-Dillon is co-minister at the Merseyside Unitarian Ministry Partnership, serving Unitarian chapels in Warrington, Wigan, and Chester. He was born in Boston, USA, and previously served a Unitarian Universalist congregation in New Jersey. He received a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and English Literature from the University of Birmingham (U.K.), a Masters in Theology from Meadville Lombard Theological School in Chicago, and a Graduate Certificate in spiritual direction from Moravian Seminary in Pennsylvania. He lives in Newton-le-Willows with his family.

The third of a series of five theme talks exploring the topic 'Speaking the Truth in Love' by Stephanie Bisby. Stephanie Bisby is a ministry student with Unitarian College and a member of Upper Chapel in Sheffield. Hucklow Summer School is the highlight of her Unitarian year and she was both delighted and terrified to be asked to speak this year. Stephanie has worked in marketing, communications and office administration in the rail industry. She studied English Language and Literature at Trinity College (Oxford) and Creative Writing at Bath Spa University, and is a published romantic novelist and prize winning short story-writer. For this talk she will try to stick to the truth.

The second of a series of five theme talks exploring the topic 'Speaking the Truth in Love' by Ann Peart. Ann read Geography at New Hall, Cambridge, and taught in various schools before family life intervened. In her forties she retrained as a Unitarian minister, and after ministries in London and Manchester was Principal of Unitarian College, Manchester until retirement in 2009. A life-long Unitarian, she has held many voluntary positions, including presidencies of the Unitarian Women's League, Historical Society, Ministerial Fellowship, and in 2011-12 the (British) General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, of which she became an honorary member in 2018. She has researched and written on the history of Unitarian women, and was a co-founder of the feminist Unitarian women's group. An out lesbian, she has been active in LGBTQ, feminist, social justice and environmental causes.

The first of a series of five theme talks exploring the topic 'Speaking the Truth in Love' by Louise Baumberg. Louise Baumberg has been a Unitarian for about 17 years and is a member of Godalming Unitarians. She first attended Summer School in 2009, loved it, returned almost every year since and is now on the Summer School Panel. Continuing a career of youth work and advising young people, with a bit of English language teaching on the side, she has been fostering young refugees for nearly 3 years, works for a charity supporting young refugees and has nearly finished a masters in Refugee Care. Other interests include pottery, baking, reading, kayaking and spending far too much time on Facebook.

Serves as co-minister to the Merseyside Unitarian Ministry Partnership, serving congregations in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Warrington, and Chester. Prior to that, he served as a minister in New Jersey. Bob was born in Boston (USA), grew up in Connecticut, went to Birmingham University (U.K.), worked in coffeeshops in NYC, and went to seminary in Chicago. That all sounds very exciting, but most of the time he just reads, writes, chats, loves to eat, love sport, plays guitar sporadically and badly, and answers email. Bob is the author of a book of various works that you can ask him about. He lives with his wife Abbey and two children Abe and Stella, who are here at Hucklow.

The fourth of a series of five theme talks exploring the topic 'Theology in the Flesh' by Jen Hazel. Jen became involved in Unitarian Universalism as a young adult in the USA. Since then she has worked as a youth advisor, music director and has served on multiple boards and committees within Unitarianism both in the US and the UK, during which time she became passionate about intersection of faith and justice. She has worked freelance in various community engagement arts projects with a specialty in helping people with severe learning disabilities access the performing arts as artists. She currently lectures in singing and acting through song at East 15 Drama School.

The third of a series of five theme talks exploring the topic 'Theology in the Flesh' by Robin Hanford. Recently invited to train for Unitarian Ministry at Harris Manchester College, Oxford, Robin has a keen interest in Theology and Political Philosophy. He graduated from Ruskin College, Oxford with a BA in Social and Political Studies before earning a PGCert in Theology and Religious Studies at the University of Leeds. Lately he has worked for the Universities Chaplaincy in Leeds, an ecumenical chaplaincy that serves four local universities. During this time Robin focused on facilitating a group for LGBTQI+ Christian students and staff. Much of Robin's spare time is dedicated to activism in the Labour and Trade Union movement. A committee member at Mill Hill Chapel in Leeds, he also serves on the Yorkshire Unitarian Union. Earlier this year, Robin became engaged to Zosh, his partner of five years.

The second of a series of five theme talks exploring the topic 'Theology in the Flesh' by Eleanor Chiari. Eleanor is Senior Teaching Fellow in the School of European Languages Cultures and Society at UCL. She is a member at Lewisham Unity and she serves on the LDPA. She holds services and cafe connects across the London and South East district and has run workshops at FUSE on amulet making, gratitude and ideas of grace. She is a lapsed catholic and a wanna-be-Buddhist who tends to be on the agnostic spectrum of the meditating Unitarians though she keeps some voodoo statues and glow-in-the dark plastic saints around just in case. It's her second time at summer school with her two children and she will be giving a theme talk for the first time.

The first of a series of five theme talks exploring the topic 'Theology in the Flesh' by Winnie Gordon. Winnie began her Unitarian life at New Meeting Birmingham late 2006, and quickly became involved in all aspects of congregational life. In 2011 she went on to train for Ministry and became Minister at Birmingham in 2014, and Kidderminster New Meeting in 2015. In addition, Winnie participates in the wider Unitarian movement in various groups: WSC, Unitarian College academic board, Membership Union secretary, MUA, and a few times co-facilitating groups at Summer School, and as a past theme speaker. In her spare time, she loves to read, enjoys life sculpture classes, is fascinated with motorbike riding, and keeping her mother's plant alive. Winnie's philosophy is learning is life-long and so continues to explore faith, worship theology, and justice issues to improve herself and contribute to her community.
