What if the life you were taught to build isn’t actually the life your nervous system, body, or soul needs?
In this episode of Human Enough, I sit down with Gazit Chaya Nkosi, a nervous-system-informed coach and practitioner whose own journey through autism, complex trauma, chronic overwhelm, spiritual searching, gender exploration, and profound adversity led them toward a different understanding of what healing can look like.
Gazit has spent decades searching for ways to make life more livable. Along the way, they explored approaches including parts work, somatic practices, EMDR, occupational and physical therapy, the Safe and Sound Protocol, and spiritual inquiry.
But perhaps the most powerful lesson was learning to question the cultural messages that told them how they were supposed to live.
Together, we explore neurodiversity, trauma, dissociation, nervous-system regulation, boundaries, people-pleasing, spirituality, identity, authenticity, and the difference between surviving life and actually inhabiting it.
This is a conversation about what happens when we stop asking, “How do I become acceptable?” and begin asking, “What do I actually need to become more fully myself?”
