July 31, 2022Season 6 – Eps 61&62
Jordan calls round unexpectedly to see Charlotte and Raymond together
Reiterates her belief that Charlotte has PTSD resulting from her accident
Heather comes in and books the works – leg and bikini wax, facial, pedicure etc.
Chantelle and Laura ask if it’s for a special occasion and she tells them that she and Adam are now an item, so she wants to look her best for him
Matt shares the recent reviews with the band. They’re good, so he’s pleased
However, the best reviews are for Sam – her singing, looks and stage presence
Ryan phones Jordan and complains about the conflict on tour. He’s fed up
Jordan is too. She confides that commuting to London is getting her down and she’s fed up with Westminster backstabbing. Reluctantly admits she misses him
Fiona tells Raymond she has asked Bob to babysit a few times over coming weeks
She knows Raymond loves spending time with Jasper, but Bob does too, and he is Jasper’s biological grandfather, so she feels obliged…
The pair are making dinner and discussing Alastair. They’re both suspicious of him…
Laura says how unpleasant he was when he discovered she was doing the accounts

It’s lunchtime. Charlotte orders a large G&T. Doreen is surprised to see her
Agrees she’s hardly a regular, unlike her husband, and doesn’t normally drink at lunchtime, but she needs some Dutch courage before she faces Fiona…
Charlotte arrives at the salon a bit worse for wear. Alyson asks if she’s OK…
Fine, she says. Just do my usual bob – nothing outrageous for boring old Charlotte!
Alyson finishes blow drying Charlotte’s hair, then leads her to reception desk
At that moment Fiona walks in, and Charlotte totally loses it. Screams at Fiona
The launch party is a huge success. Chantelle and Laura are excited and relieved
Everyone has been complimenting them and they have taken loads of bookings
Adam asks Heather what’s wrong. She says she dumped Neil as he’s a player…
Adam gently tells her she could do better. She deserves the best and shouldn’t waste time with anyone who offers anything less…
Charlotte’s upset. Confesses to Jordan that her marriage is under pressure
I know, says Jordan. I heard about the showdown in Wavelengths. Can I be honest?

It’s afternoon and the pub is quiet, so the two friends are practising for Doreen’s TV series. Doreen is doing a piece to camera, pretending she’s in Scotland
She’s very formal at first – facts, figures etc. – until Trevor tells her to be herself…
Neil has asked to meet Heather for a drink. He apologises for upsetting her last time
Then he explains that he doesn’t want to get tied down. Not in his line of work…
Sarah sees Neil sitting on his own. Are you OK? Yes – just fell out with Heather
The rules of engagement are different here from in London. Yes, agrees Sarah
The women show Dan the finished salon. He’s really positive; excited for them
They’re nervous about the upcoming launch party, but he reassures them
Ryan calls Jordan. It’s an hour until they go onstage, but Tommy has gone AWOL
Either he won’t show, or he’ll turn up half cut. Jordan defends her brother. He probably just needed some time to himself. You always think the worst of him…
Chantelle arrives home. Alastair grumbles that she’s late. Has ordered a takeaway
Wants Chantelle to look through some brochures – florists, Highland Dress for him…

Judy and Bianca talk about the positive social media response to Circle of Life
The shop is busy, and Judy is considering an online business like Bianca suggested
Heather comes in. Tells Duncan she’s meeting Neil for a drink. Third date, going well. Take my advice, says Duncan. Don’t look too keen, too quickly. Keep your cool…
Don’t worry, says Heather. I’m too old to lose my head. No one is, replies Duncan
The band are waiting to go onstage for their first gig. Tommy is in the loo being sick
Sam and Mario tell Matt how nervous he is and how none of them can help
Alyson and Sharon have popped in to buy a sandwich. Carmella asks about Fiona
Is it true that Robbie is Jasper’s father? Straight up – she told me herself says Sharon
Dan asks how the wedding plans are going. Slowly says Bob, which is how we want it
Alastair and Chantelle are having a Christmas wedding. Bob’s fine for them to go first
The women are showing Alastair around the new salon. He admits it looks smart
Chantelle takes a phone call. While she’s talking, Alastair tackles Laura re: accounts

I reckon so, Neil says. Remarks that neither he nor Judy has been in Huntsford long, but they’ve been around long enough to realise how the rumour mill operates…
Alastair is making preparations for their Christmas wedding. Has done as agreed…
What d’you mean, asks Chantelle. I’ve ordered the cake from Carmella, he replies…
Doreen is excited because her pitch for the TV series in Scotland has been successful
The directors want to shoot in late autumn/ early winter. It’s going to be all brooding skies, roaring fires, wee drams, spooky castles – and no midges!
The two colleagues have nipped in for a drink after work. Trevor’s still loved up
Has had another date with Dylan, again in Cambridge. Went to a gig and stayed over
Later, Adam again confides in Bob re: Heather. She has had a second date with Neil
She didn’t explicitly say, but Adam got the impression that things had gone further this time. She went back to his place. Does Bob think they…?
It’s closing time and the band are leaving on the tour bus. Mario’s excited…
Tells Tom how it’s a dream come true. He just wishes Sam would stop worrying about her mum and dad fighting. She’ll be fine once we leave, reassures Tom

Sam tries to reason with Charlotte re: her row with Raymond over who Jasper’s father is. Insists that her dad would never cheat on Charlotte. He loves her!
Typical of you to stick up for him, says Charlotte. You’ve always been thick as thieves
Neil and Heather have a second date. He’s charming but evades questions re: work
Instead, he asks Heather about herself. Gradually she opens up and tells him about her early life in Huntsford and her problems with Nick. Neil’s sympathetic
Ryan’s cooking dinner for Jordan. Confesses he’s not looking forward to band’s tour
Matt does his head in, and he’s worried that Tommy won’t behave himself
The launch of Chantelle’s salon is imminent. The three meet to agree marketing deal
They compliment Chantelle on the posters, leaflets, launch preparation etc.
Carmella calls Vicky to check she’s OK during her second time ‘home alone’ in pub
Vicky’s fine. It helps that she knows Tommy is staying with Kylie tonight, so he isn’t going to crawl through the window of the gents like last time…
Bianca has finished her ‘A’ levels in London and moves in with Sharon
She’s disappointed her mates Sam and Ryan are going on tour – plus ‘cute’ Tommy

They’re going through the accounts. Finances are looking good. Ad revenue is up
The feedback from listeners is mostly excellent. Ryan and Kylie are as popular as ever and Doreen’s programme is getting great reviews, along with Carmella/Vicky…
Sarah asks why Duncan has poured her a glass of champagne. What’s happened?
Duncan asks if she has noticed the background music. She has – likes it very much
Neil comes in. Sarah mentions new album. Alastair tries to join the conversation
Neil says he has work matters to discuss with Sarah. They excuse themselves from Alastair and find a table as far away from him as possible. Agree it’s a relief
Vicky brings Tommy fish and chips – she’s on cooking duty in the pub
She says she’s going to do more overnight stints for his Dad – but he had better not pull a stunt like that again. He terrified her when he climbed through the window
Bob comes in late Adam’s drinking on his own and looking a bit morose…
Bob asks what the matter is. Adam takes a bit of persuading, but eventually confesses that Heather has been on a date with Neil. It should be me, he says
Raymond calls round. Mario is out. He’s distraught – Sam’s concerned for him
Between sobs, he says that’s something’s wrong with Charlotte. Not herself

Jordan pops in for a coffee and updates Carmella on the cycle lanes campaign
She has prepared a briefing document for Huntsford Council – will Carmella review?
Bianca has a three-hour Business Studies ‘A’ Level exam coming up next Monday
She apologises to her Mum for being a pain in the run-up to the exams
Raymond confronts Charlotte. We need to talk. You’ve been avoiding me for ages
What about? What you were insinuating when I told you Robbie was Jasper’s father
Trevor is in for a trim. Tells Sharon his new look has been a game-changer for him
He met his online date Dylan for the first time in Cambridge. Had a great time
Chantelle mentions in passing that Laura will be doing the accounts for new salon
Alastair is not impressed. Why didn’t you ask me? Laura isn’t an accountant
Ryan tries to wake Tommy up for band practice. He’s comatose and won’t stir
Asks Jordan to help. She chucks a glass of water over Tom. He wakes up, outraged

Trevor pours Neil his usual. Neil says he’s meeting Alastair, so might need rescuing
Alastair turns up and refunds the money for Chantelle’s shopping. She’s so forgetful
Doreen turns up for her shift. She tells Duncan and Trevor that her blog is doing very well. One of her followers is a TV exec who loves her Harley-related posts…
He has asked her to prepare a pitch for a TV programme – travels around Scotland
Fiona’s glad to be out with the girls – apologises for having been difficult lately
Everyone sympathises – it’s hard being a new, first-time Mum. Especially when you don’t have a partner to help you, Chantelle suggests gently
The renovation is going well. Equipment is being installed – jacuzzis, nail bar etc.
Chantelle says they need to start the publicity. Agreed, says Laura. But first they need to decide on range of treatments, treatment packages, pricing, loyalty schemes
Mario’s complaining about Matt. Treating us like students; minibus and grotty B&Bs
Can’t believe he expects me to share with the others when you have your own room
Trevor has been online every day with his new squeeze – often for hours. Loved up
He thinks Dylan could be ‘the one.’ They have the same tastes in clothes, music etc

Chantelle is at the till in Circle of Life. She goes to pay, but can’t find her credit card
She’s embarrassed and upset – she’s sure it was in her purse. Judy says not to worry – she’ll hang onto Chantelle’s shopping if she wants to pop home and get it…
Bianca’s ‘A’ levels are starting the following week. She’s nervous about the exams…
You’ll be fine, reassures Sharon. You’ve done so well in all your assignments…
Vicky’s alone overnight in the pub for the first time. Carmella phones to check on her
She’s just telling Carmella everything’s fine when she hears a noise downstairs. She goes down to investigate. Carmella stays on the line in case she needs to get help
Raymond tells Charlotte that Robbie is Jasper’s father. Expects her to be intrigued
Instead, she turns angry and bitter, saying that’s a very convenient piece of fiction that he and Fiona have cooked up together. She’s not going to be fooled…
Matt is explaining to the band his plans for their forthcoming tour. Has got a minibus
Has booked a B&B in each town. Nice big room for Sam. The boys can share
Neil and Heather run into each other while buying their lunchtime sandwiches
Heather comments on nice weather. Going to be even nicer next weekend says Neil
