The hairdressers are exhausted. They order the Christmas mulled wine from Trevor
Sharon says she doesn’t feel that Christmassy. They agree that this year, Christmas takes second place to Chantelle’s wedding. Fiona wishes she could feel more excited
Chantelle bathes Alastair’s black eye. He grumbles and refuses to go to the police
Is adamant he wants to leave Huntsford, but Chantelle tries to change his mind
Alastair’s just in time for last orders. The others sympathise innocently re: black eye
Hopefully it’ll heal before the wedding, they say. What happened? Alastair explains and says that he’s had it up to here with Huntsford. It’s not a bad town, they protest
Sam has brought home yet more Christmas decorations. Mario’s amused – it’s crazy!
The house is already festooned – where are they going to put them?
The ladies are putting the finishing touches to Chantelle’s wedding cake
They agree it’s their best ever, but they wish they were more excited about the day
Heather is making dinner for Adam. They’re having a lovely, romantic time
Adam says he can’t believe he gets to spend Christmas with Heather this year. He hopes it’ll be the first of many. So do I, says Heather. Let’s hope the stars are aligned

The two friends have watched Alastair stagger into the pub, bleeding and shocked
They agree that this is an unexpected bonus. Who knew Alastair would be meeting Chantelle? Then they agree that Harry has obviously done a good job on him

Sarah is at the door, accompanied by Bianca. She asks to come in for a chat
Bianca was with a group of youngsters who were caught shoplifting in town
After Sarah leaves, Sharon says she’s not going to shout. She wants a serious talk
Sam makes dinner for Mario, who is out. When he comes home, she pours the wine
She tells Mario that she has thought it over and is happy to start trying for a baby
Laura and Chantelle are chatting on reception about the forthcoming wedding
Trevor calls Doreen. He and Duncan have had a chat about Fonab Castle
Duncan is positive that it’s Alastair’s castle – A has often boasted about it to him
The band have just come offstage after their gig. Matt is impressed with them
He says Sam and Mario are back on form – in fact, they all stepped up a gear

Alyson comes into the pub, sees Neil, and buys him a drink. He asks her what’s up
Nothing, she says. Just tired – the pre-Christmas rush starts early at Wavelengths
Doreen calls Trevor again, sounding a lot happier this time. The shoot is going well
Also, they have found a venue to replace the one that pulled out. Fonab Castle
Bob and Judy are grabbing a sandwich lunch together when Jordan comes in
She’d like to buy the old camper van as a surprise for Ryan – if she can afford it
Chantelle comes in for her tarot reading, arranged by Sharon. Chantelle is nervous
Mystic Moll puts her at her ease, with the help of calming essential oil in the burner
Mystic Moll returns, pours tea, and explains that Alastair doesn’t need to be present
She does Alastair’s reading and it’s extremely ominous
Sam calls round for a chat with her mum and tells her about Mario wanting a baby
Charlotte surprises her by making the case for young motherhood

You’re glowing, says Fiona. Still loved up? Yes, says Carmella – what about you?
Jordan has arranged to have a personal chat with Charlotte, who makes them tea
Jordan says she has done a lot of thinking on holiday and wants to resign
Sharon is doing Chantelle’s hair and grilling her about her forthcoming wedding
Chantelle says all the arrangements are in place, so Alastair is more relaxed

Alastair brings his car in to have the windscreen repaired. He’s in a bad mood
Dan innocently asks how it got broken – Alastair makes up a story about a stone hitting his windscreen – while he was driving at speed – and smashing it
Charlotte has returned from her break at the residential centre. Raymond’s pleased
He has cooked her a special dinner to welcome her home – and bought flowers
Trevor and Duncan tease Neil about Alyson, saying he’s the envy of Huntsford
He’s got a casual arrangement with a gorgeous woman who just wants to hook up
The couple return from their camper van holiday. They’re depressed to be home
Ryan is not looking forward to starting a new round of Christmas gigs with the band
Fiona’s doing Charlotte’s hair. She asks about her break. Is she feeling chilled?
Charlotte says it put her whole life into perspective – she’s going to make changes
The couple have agreed that Dan is going to pick up the kids from school from now on, but over breakfast Laura checks that he’s still OK with that. It’s time-consuming
Of course, I’m OK, says Dan – nothing is more important to me than you and the kids

Sam and Raymond are having dinner. They discuss Charlotte’s residential stay
She has called both of them and seems to be doing really well. They’re pleased
The three men have formed a secret ‘hit squad’ intent on punishing Alastair
They remark that he picked the wrong town. He’s going to regret threatening Laura
The holidaymakers are on their way to Cornwall. They’re visiting Stonehenge
Seeing a monument which is thousands of years old gives Ryan some perspective

Raymond and Sharon are on their way to his tarot reading. Raymond is reluctant
He changes his mind when he walks into the shop and is greeted by the gorgeous Mystic Moll. She starts his reading by telling him he is Leo with Taurus ascendant
Dan asks Bob if he can keep a secret. Of course, says Bob. What’s the problem?
Dan explains how Alastair has threatened Laura. Should he go to the police?
Vicky’s worried about Bianca. She’s seen her hanging out with a bad crowd
She went to visit a friend on The Addington and saw them all outside the chip shop
Judy pays a surprise visit to her friend and admires the stunning Halloween display
Moll says she wants to ‘reclaim the real Halloween’ – nowadays it’s too commercial
Neil calls Alyson. The other night at his place was lovely, but he’d like to take her out
He has managed to get a reservation at a top Cambridge restaurant – will she come?
Alastair wants an update on wedding preparations – to check what she’s forgotten
My tasks are all sorted, says Chantelle. Have you ordered the favours? Yes, she says

Alyson comes in; orders a shot. Neil buys it and asks if she fancies dinner at his place
He’s made enough for two. Alyson declines; she’s preloading before a girls’ night out

It was spooky – so accurate! She thinks Fiona and Raymond should try it
The friends are cleaning up at closing time. Doreen is off to Scotland the next day
She’s nervous, but Trevor reassures her. You’ll be great – just you wait and see!
The ladies are breaking out the Prosecco to celebrate finding a wedding dress…
You look so hot in it, says Alyson. Much better than those frumpy frocks from before
Fiona goes up to the bar to buy more Prosecco. Trevor asks if Raymond is OK
Charlotte’s away on a solo holiday – is everything OK in their marriage?
The couple are off on holiday. Ryan arrives at their flat in the camper van
Jordan’s amazed – Dan has done a great job of sprucing it up in a short time
