  • What is Marriage?
The sermon establishes marriage as a divine institution designed by God, rooted in the creation of male and female in Genesis and affirmed by Jesus in Matthew. It contrasts biblical definitions with worldly perspectives, emphasizing that marriage is a permanent union intended to last until death, not a conditional contract based on feelings. The speaker highlights the radical shift in priorities required when leaving parents to cleave to one's spouse, making the husband-wife relationship the primary human bond while keeping God supreme. Furthermore, the sermon explains that earthly marriage serves as an allegory for the relationship between Christ and the Church, calling husbands to sacrificial love and wives to respectful submission. Ultimately, the message urges believers to uphold this sacred design, recognizing it as a profound mystery that reflects spiritual truths.

  • The Foundation of Marriage Pt2
The sermon outlines God's foundational plan for marriage as established in Genesis, emphasizing that it is a divine institution designed to reflect His image and serve specific purposes. Key aspects include raising godly children through biblical instruction, engaging in ministry to build up the body of Christ, and enjoying lifelong companionship between husband and wife. The speaker contrasts these biblical mandates with modern cultural trends that often view children as burdens or marriage as optional. By exercising spiritual gifts within the context of a strong marital union, couples become a blessing to the church and demonstrate Christ's love to the world. Ultimately, marriage is presented as a sacred gift from God that requires intentional stewardship and obedience to His design.

  • DAY 13 — LOVE FIGHTS FAIR
DAY 13 — LOVE FIGHTS FAIR. MARK 3:25 KJV Every marriage will have disagreements. Two people can love each other deeply and still see things differently. The question is not whether disagreements will come. The question is how we will handle them when they do. Jesus warned that a house divided against itself cannot stand. When a husband and wife begin treating each other like enemies instead of partners, arguments can become destructive. Words are spoken that cannot easily be taken back. Old failures are brought up. Voices get louder, tempers get hotter, and instead of solving the problem, we begin hurting the person we love. Biblical love chooses another way. Love fights fair. And when both husband and wife remember that they are fighting for their marriage instead of against each other, a disagreement does not have to divide the house—it can become an opportunity to understand one another better and grow stronger together.

  • DAY 12 — LOVE LETS THE OTHER WIN
DAY 12 — LOVE LETS THE OTHER WIN. PHILIPPIANS 2:4 KJVOne of the greatest struggles in any marriage can be the desire to have the last word, prove our point, or get our own way. Sometimes an argument continues long after the issue should have ended simply because neither person wants to give in. But biblical love asks a different question. Instead of asking, "How can I win?" Love asks, "What is best for us?" Philippians 2 points us to the greatest example of humility—Jesus Christ. He did not come demanding His rights. He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross. That same mind of Christ should influence the way we treat one another. First Corinthians 13:5 teaches that charity "seeketh not her own." Love does not always demand its own preference. It is willing to listen, consider the other person's needs, and sometimes surrender something that really is not worth fighting over. That does not mean truth does not matter. It does not mean one spouse should accept sinful, harmful, or abusive behavior. And it does not mean every disagreement can be solved simply by giving in. It means our pride should never become more important than our marriage. Proverbs 15:1 KJV says: "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Sometimes the strongest person in an argument is not the one who speaks the loudest. Sometimes strength is demonstrated by the person who can lower their voice, control their pride, listen, and say, "This is not worth hurting the person I love." Day 12 of The Love Dare challenges us to identify an area where stubbornness has created unnecessary tension. Maybe both people have been pulling against each other.

  • Specifics of True Holiness
The sermon explores the specifics of true holiness by examining Colossians 3, contrasting genuine sanctification with legalistic asceticism. It emphasizes that true holiness is oriented toward serving others and occurs within the ordinary rhythms of daily life rather than through showy religious acts. The preacher outlines how believers must live out their faith in specific relationships, including marriage, parenting, and employment, by dedicating every action to the Lord Jesus. Each duty is framed as an opportunity to honor Christ, with wives submitting, husbands loving without harshness, children obeying, and workers laboring with sincerity. Ultimately, the message asserts that believers are empowered to fulfill these duties not by rule-keeping but by the grace and motivation found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
