  • DAY 11 — LOVE CHERISHES
DAY 11 — LOVE CHERISHES. EPHESIANS 5:28 KJV Marriage is more than two people simply living under the same roof. According to the Bible, marriage joins a husband and wife together in a relationship so close that God describes them as "one flesh." That means when we hurt our spouse, we are hurting someone God has joined to us. When we encourage our spouse, care for them, protect them, and strengthen them, we are caring for the marriage God has given us. Ephesians 5:29 reminds us that no man normally hates his own flesh, but "nourisheth and cherisheth it." To cherish someone means we recognize their value and treat them as precious. Our spouse should never have to wonder whether they matter to us. Biblical love does not treat a husband or wife like an inconvenience, an opponent, or somebody standing on the other side. Marriage was never intended to be "me against you." God's design is for husband and wife to walk through life together.Day 11 of The Love Dare challenges us to look at how we are treating the person God has joined to us. Do our words communicate value? Do our actions demonstrate care? Are we protecting our spouse's heart or unnecessarily hurting it? Are we treating them as someone precious to us? The challenge for today is simple: Cherish your spouse. Look for a practical way to demonstrate that their needs, feelings, burdens, and well-being matter to you. Treat them with honor, tenderness, patience, and respect. Don't live as though you are on opposite sides. You are on the same team. Because biblical marriage is not simply two people living beside one another. It is two lives that God has joined together. Love cherishes them as part of you.

  • DAY 10 — LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL
DAY 10 — LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL.ROMANS 5:8 KJV The greatest example of unconditional love is found at the Cross. God did not wait until we deserved His love. He did not wait until we cleaned ourselves up, corrected all our failures, or became worthy of Him. The Bible says that "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." That is the kind of love God wants us to understand. Unconditional love does not say, "I will love you as long as you make me happy." It does not say, "I will love you as long as you do everything I expect." Biblical love is deeper than feelings and stronger than changing circumstances. First Corinthians 13 teaches that love "beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things" and that "charity never faileth." Feelings may rise and fall, circumstances may change, and difficult days will come, but genuine love makes a decision to remain faithful. Marriage gives us a beautiful opportunity to demonstrate that kind of committed love. Ephesians 5:25 points husbands directly to Christ: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it." Day 10 of The Love Dare reminds us that love is not merely something we feel. Love is something we choose. The challenge for today is simple: Choose to love when it is easy—and choose to love when it is difficult. Don't base your commitment on today's circumstances or today's emotions. Remember the love God demonstrated toward us through Jesus Christ. Because the strongest love does not say, "I love you because of what you do for me." It says, "I choose to love you, remain faithful to you, and seek your good even when circumstances change." That is the kind

  • DAY 9 — LOVE MAKES GOOD IMPRESSIONS
DAY 9 — LOVE MAKES GOOD IMPRESSIONS. 1 PETER 5:14 kjv Love is often revealed in the little things we do every day. One of those little things is simply how we greet the person we love. A warm smile, a kind word, a hug, or simply stopping what we are doing long enough to say, "I'm glad to see you," can communicate more than we realize. Proverbs 15:13 reminds us that a merry heart makes a cheerful countenance. What is in our heart often shows up on our face. Jesus gave us a beautiful picture of this in Luke 15 when the father saw his returning son. He did not stand at a distance with folded arms. He ran to meet him, embraced him, and welcomed him home. That greeting communicated love before many words were ever spoken.Day 9 of The Love Dare reminds us not to let familiarity make us careless with the people closest to us. Sometimes we greet strangers with a smile and kindness while giving our spouse only what is left over after a long day. Biblical love says, "You matter to me. Your presence matters to me. I am glad you are here." The challenge for today is simple: Pay attention to how you greet your spouse. Put down the phone. Look them in the eyes. Smile. Speak with kindness. Let your greeting communicate the love that is in your heart.Because sometimes one of the simplest ways to say, "I love you," is to make sure the person you love can see that you are genuinely glad to see them.

  • DAY 8 — LOVE IS NOT JEALOUS
DAY 8 — LOVE IS NOT JEALOUS.Jealousy can quietly turn love into competition. Instead of rejoicing when someone else is blessed, jealousy begins comparing, competing, and asking, "Why them and not me?" The Bible warns that jealousy can become a destructive fire in the heart, damaging relationships and robbing us of contentment.Biblical love chooses a different way. Love celebrates instead of competes. Romans 12:15 teaches us to rejoice with those who rejoice. Genuine love does not have to be first, receive all the attention, or possess what somebody else has in order to be happy.Throughout Scripture, jealousy brought terrible consequences. Cain's jealousy toward Abel ended in murder. Joseph's brothers allowed jealousy to turn into hatred. Even the religious leaders who delivered Jesus to Pilate were motivated by envy. Jealousy never strengthens love; it slowly poisons it.Day 8 of The Love Dare challenges us to examine our hearts. Instead of comparing ourselves with others, we can thank God for what He has given us and genuinely celebrate the blessings He gives to those around us.Stop comparing. Stop competing. Start celebrating.Because real love can look at somebody else's blessing and sincerely say,"I'm thankful God blessed you."

  • Ordination of New Officers
Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. (1Ti. 5:17) This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. (1Ti. 3:1,12,13)
