Husky Talk SNS returns with UConn Football legend, Captain, Sean Mulcahy. We talk about the resurgence of the New York Giants, Jaxson Dart.....sort of.It was a tale of two teams, last Sunday losing in an ugly game versus the winless Saints of New Orleans. QB Spencer Rattler looked like a seasoned NFL star as he knifed through our defense. The Giants are not good enough to win games with 5 turnovers; they can play against Bergen Catholic and will get smoked turning the ball over 5 times.

Sean and I talked about the importance of simplifying the gameplan, having Dart on a pitch count 25-30 passes a game. Unfortunately, the wheels came off in the 3rd quarter, Dart ended up 26 of 40 for 202 Yards, hitting on 2 beautiful touchdowns, to go with 2 costly interceptions. RB Cam Skattebo rushed for 59 yards on 15 carries; Dart added another 55 yards on 7 carries. Sean and I are both concerned about him staying healthy the rest of the season. Jaxson runs like Bills QB Josh Allen, without having his size, we want him to protect himself. I think all Giants fans had New Orleans circled on their schedule as a win, which turned into a demoralizing loss.

However, when you expect the G-Men to fold, they come out Thursday night and pound defending Superbowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. I told Sean, if he said I was going to get struck by lightning, I would have believed it more than us beating the Eagles.Defensively, we forced 2 Turnovers, while sacking Eagles QB Jalen Hurts 3 times. Jaxson Dart played exactly how we needed him to, going 17 of 25 for 195 yards, 1 TD, no Ints. Sean and I understand how much is put on these rookie QBs shoulders, having 25 passing attempts is much more manageable than 40. Cam rushed for 98 yards and 3 TDs, running hard inside, plus it was a great sign Tyrone Tracey was active. He did not do much but working him back in the lineup is a necessity, developing a rotation with Tracey and Cam will make us balanced offensively. Balance in the sense that Dart isn't going to have 13 carries for 58 yards as often. No doubt he has speed and athleticism to do damage running the ball, we do not want to see him injured. Robinson had 6 receptions for 84 yards with a TD, overall, a monster win with the Giants, Daboll and his staff. Now, the test facing the Boys in Blue is if they can continue to show improvement week to week. Consistency, Dart has given them a shot in the arm, I hope we witness a team building on momentum.The rest of the show was hilarious as we talked about our favorite Halloween movies, along with scariest movies. Sean and I share a few funny stories about events that happened along the way to watching certain flicks, you will definitely be entertained!

A phenomenal weekend for us finally seeing both our favorite teams win at the same time. Coach Brian Daboll rolling the proverbial dice starting rookie QB Jaxson Dart and saving his job… for now. UConn QB Joe Fagnano leading a drive with 50 seconds remaining to kick a 43-yard game winning field goal was again a breathtaking finish. Our Huskies definitely are far from boring; each contest has gone down to the wire besides the Central Connecticut game. It would be nice for everyone’s blood pressure if we could win by 20 the rest of the season to prevent heart attacks!!

Plus UConn losing in OT to Delaware, the resurgence of Daniel Jones in Indy, and my happiness seeing him have success. I thought he was put in tough positions, coaches didn’t have full confidence in him and then pulled the plug after signing a 180 million dollar extension. I always felt he was good enough to win with and Sean agrees. However, 2 games will not make a difference, if Daniel Jones can win consistently in with the Colts, I believe he will resurrect his career. Especially with Bengals QB Joe Burrow out for 8 weeks, the AFC South besides Tampa is ripe for the taking.

I shared a story about my favorite Lissa Bloom Jussaume, who I still can't get to be interviewed, but I know she doesn't hate me totally. I shared the story how she was kind enough to take Ed and I to a WWE PPV in Hartford, one of the greatest experiences of my life. However, we got off to a bad start since we were sitting with many wrestlers' families. Ed and I can't be together without causing debauchery, Mark Henry is in the ring. The World's Strongest Man, Ed stands up and yells YOU FAT.... which did not go over well. Mark Henry's girlfriend was sitting behind us and was ready to fight Ed. '
After the show, of course I have to make things worse. Lissa takes us to the hotel to see her brother and I am in awe because I am such a loser fan boy. Matt Bloom could not have been nicer to me and talked football. Test, another wrestler, was his tag team partner at the time. I wore an nWo tee shirt, Test asked why I would show up to a WWE event wearing merchandise from their rival company. Sadly, I said because Hulk Hogan is my hero, and I would take a bullet for him. Test marveled that I was a 19-year-old man and had no issue telling people Hulk Hogan was my hero like an 8-year-old kid says. I managed to embarrass myself further after seeing her brothers ring gear hanging up in the room. Then, I asked her brother if I could try on his outfit. Matt looked at Lissa and said "is this guy for real" which is when everyone erupted in laughter.

Husky Talk- SNS returns with UConn Football Legend, Captain Sean Mulcahy comes to us live from finishing up work at his job. Sean does not sit at a desk all day, he is performing manual labor and loving it. Sean is brilliant and has worked in several different careers. He was an excellent broadcaster and analyst for the Big East Football network. With Syracuse QB Legend Don McPherson, they would break do a pregame show breaking down each match-up, along with predict winners. Sean really developed into a top analyst who could break the game down to the casual fans, When the Big East imploded and football was gone, he transitioned into working in Finance and again, was extremely successful.

Unfortunately, he was hit with a wave of difficult, scary, depressing family issues and had to step away to be there for everyone. That is when you find out who your real friends are, the guys who stick with you no matter what. I was someone who lost complete touch with Sean and I regret not being there for him.

Sean is tough, resilient and made it through to the other side. He talks about the younger kids he works with, how they are polite, respectful and listen. He encourages them to attend trade school because there is a huge need for HVACS, Plummers, Electricians, because nobody has interest in those careers, Sean explained they can make a ton of money, plus control their schedule. College isn't for everyone and with the rising costs, a degree does not guarantee making big money. Imagine paying $375,000 in tuition over 4 years, being saddled with student loans, starting at a job making $40,000. It will be a tough life trying to live, while paying back loans. When if you go to a trade school, you make more money, have your own business and can rise up the ranks faster. Truly an insightful episode!

He has an amazing family and it turned into a great trip. I am too large, uncoordinated, then bump into everyone because it is so overcrowded.

Sean taking a trip to Annapolis with his family and they all have connections to the Naval academy. I tell him about Coach Schuman and I doing a show on the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

Then we get into it being the 50th anniversary of Jaws and how amazing a movie it was. I bring up the Netflix documentary on the Submarine they used to take people to the Titanic. All of engineers hired told the Billionaire who was running the project that the metal and design would never hold up, and the guy would just fire anyone who disagreed with him.

On a trip with passengers who paid 50K each to go on a journey to see the Titanic, the submarine imploded and incinerated everyone into nothing. We get into a submarine being destroyed that got the United States into World War 1. I mention all the conflicts going on now between Russia, Ukraine, Isreal, Hamas, Palestine, Iran, and ask Sean what it would be like if we actually had a World War 3. Or if we had an attack on American soil. Canada and Mexico are not threats, we have seen many illegal immigrants come through then occupy cities.

We are so far away from any major conflict, if Russia, China, or North Korea tried to attack us, we would easily see it coming. At the end we discuss movies like Red Dawn, what a scary moment it would be as a teenager having your family killed and your father telling you its time to be a man. I have prepared you for this exact moment, you know what to do. The amazing cast for Red Dawn, especially Patrick Swayze, which leads us into Dirty Dancing.

I tell Sean my favorite character is actor Jerry Orbach, who plays the father in the movie. It was outrageous to find out Sean and I are both huge Law and Order fans!! Detective Lenny Briscoe was the best on the show and we reminisced some of the hilarious lines in that show they would always give him before the intro music started.
