Episode 213: Spidey-verse Swings In Phase 4, EPCOT Gets a Face Lift, and More Disney Stars To The Walk of Fame ! (June 26, 2017)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another episode here at CLOUD CITY CAST!  

Several Disney alumni will receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and while 2 of them are relative newcomers, the other two have been a long time coming. EPCOT has been stuck in the 80’s and it’s finally been announced that they’re going to renovate the area, hopefully more details to come at this year’s D23. Disney has filed a patent for a Captain America Shield Throwing attraction. The Spiderman sequel due in 2019 has been pegged as the start of Phase 4 in the MCU, and while the Spidey-verse will in fact include Venom and the rest of the crew, we probably won’t see much crossover into the actual MCU. Fox Studios has announced several castings for the upcoming film The Dark Phoenix, but interestingly they have confirmed Dazzler will appear in the film. Punisher has wrapped production and is rumored to come out this fall, but we’ve received word that Mitchell Ellison from Daredevil will also appear in the series. Nathan Fillion has spoken out about wanting to be in the MCU, and while his cameo was cut from Guardians 2, there’s still the potential that Wonder Man may still appear. Defender’s have revealed a new black and white poster for the upcoming series, and while it does look like a band photo, it does have us excited for the release. Star Wars Forces of Destiny is right on the horizon as it comes to Disney Channel and youtube on July 10th and will feature the heroines of the Star Wars Universe. Colin Trevorrow recently spoke about dealing with Carrie Fisher’s passing both emotionally and theatrically as they make plans to have Episode 9 pay it’s respects to the Leia’s legacy.

Episode 212: Han Solo Director Change, Venom Joins MCU, Disney Buys Back Paris! (June 23, 2017)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another episode here at CLOUD CITY CAST!  

The talk of the town has definitely been about Lord and Miller being let go from the Young Han Solo film and the director that’s stepped in to replace them. After the announcement of Venom getting a solo movie the rumor was that it would exist outside of the Spider-man/MCU universe, but it looks like that may have changed, as well as an announcement of the villain. Marvel’s ResurreXion line is now free from Marvel.com if you head over and pick up your digital copies. Fantasmic and the Disneyland Railroad are both returning in July which means they’re getting closer to completing the updates in the park. Walt Disney has now taken full ownership of Disneyland Paris, and it’s about time!

Episode 210: Black Panther Trailer, Bob Iger Resigns, Adventureland Renovations! (June 13, 2017)

We’ve got another thrilling episode for all of you as we talk in depth about The Black Panther trailer that just dropped as well as the MCU in general and what we think you can expect down the road. Staying on our movie theme, we also discussed whether or not Julie Andrews would be making a cameo appearance in Mary Poppins Returns. We spoke a little but about the Coco trailer that came out last week and how pumped we are for November. WDW is cracking down on fraudulent Fast Pass usage. Bob Iger resigned his position on President Trump’s Advisory Council in protest of the Paris Agreement. D23 Expo is fast approaching and we’re excited to see their recently announced Galaxy of Stories which will highlight everything we can expect from Star Wars Land. Adventureland is undergoing some new renovations to alleviate some of the crowd congestion, and Bi Thunder Trail is reopening!

Episode 208: Silver & Black, Superhero Land, and Live Action Pinocchio! (June 5, 2017)

We’re back with more awesome news from your favorite fandoms! We’re talking Sony’s announcement of a Silver Sable/Black Cat team up film which may lead to a full fledged female super team. Now that Mission Breakout is here and a total thrill, we can talk about more of the Marvel plans that Disney has coming to DCA in the near future. Guardians is closing in on $1bil at the box office, and we don’t see anything slowing it down. Dead Men Tell No Tales hasn’t had the same kind of traction as GOTG, but it’s still putting up some respectable numbers. Gabby Rivera has been announced as the writer for the upcoming America Chavez comic book series, and she couldn’t be a more perfect fit. Marvel is having a digital comic blowout on Amazon, so make sure you take a look and pick up some of those key issues you’ve been dying to read!

Episode 206: Dead Men Tops The Box Office, Mission Breakout Worth The Wait, and Vanity Fair Gives First Look At New Characters! (May 29, 2017)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is out but isn’t quite making the splash that Disney had forecasted, even though it took the number one spot this past weekend. Guardians Mission Breakout is upon us and Disney is saying this is just the beginning of a stronger Marvel presence in the theme parks.  A local Fresno reported was apparently completely caught off guard went they went to ride Mission Breakout. Vanity Fair released their series of pictures of key cast members of The Last Jedi and we cried our eyes out for the pictures of Carrie.

Episode 204: A New Hope Needs A New Hip, New Pirate’s Movie and Mission Breakout This Weekend! (May 18, 2017)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another episode here at CLOUD CITY CAST!  

Pandora will feature a live stream May 24th at 9:25pm EST on the Disney Parks Blog. Classic Space Mountain will return to Disneyland for their 40th Anniversary. Mission Breakout opens this Saturday, May 27th as the new sign was recently revealed. Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales opens this Friday, our wedding anniversary, so be sure to go out and see if because we will inevitably spoil it next week. The Little Mermaid will feature a live performance on ABC this October. Ant-Man will soon have his own cartoon shorts on Disney XD on June 10th and 11th. Tom Hardy confirmed as Eddie Brock in Sony’s Venom film. Marvel confirmed they are cancelling the comic book run of Black Panther and The Crew, but will still release the 6 final issues later this year. The Young Han Solo movie set had a video and quite a few pictures recently leak on the internet so be sure to check those out. Cassian and K-2S0 will have their own comic book series telling the back story of how they met this August. And finally, this Thursday is the 40th Anniversary of A New Hope!
