Episode 202: The Grandmaster Funk, Fantasmic Is Old, and George Lucas Is Forever Young! (May 15, 2017)

Agents of SHIELD renewed for a 5th season, with no complaints from us here, since we still aren’t caught up with Season 4. Marvel’s Runaways will be scored by Siddharta Khosla, the same composer for This Is Us. Jeff Goldblum’s character, The Grandmaster, is rumored to appear in Mission Breakout. Marvel restricts Fantastic Four and X-Men characters on Upper Deck sketch cards. Paul McCartney’s pirate picture released for his cameo in Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Disney celebrates Mother’s Day with a sweet video encapsulating the various mother’s in Pixar and what they bring to their family, with Mama Coco being the finale from this November’s release, the aptly named Coco. We spoke about the lady that stole another mother’s high end stroller at Walt Disney World just a few weeks ago, and it looks as the culprit has been identified and actually turned themselves in. Happily Ever After Fireworks Show. Pandora is currently conducting passholder previews. ESPN continues layoffs. Fantasmic is now 25 years old, and we finally get a shot of what it’s Aladdin addition looks like.

George Lucas’ birthday is today, the 14th! Donald Glover will pay homage to the character of Lando, but will still be able to put his own spin on it. Junk Castle concept art for Jakku in TFA. Episode 201: Landers, Worlders and Guardians (Spoiler Free)! (May 11, 2017)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another episode here at CLOUD CITY CAST!  

Rivers of America in Disneyland looks like it’s finally filling up with water and should be ready to go soon!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party tickets have been released and we recommend you pick yours up as soon as possible since this will SELL OUT!  Happily Ever After Fireworks Show, featuring a song performed by Jordan Fisher, will premier on May 12th both in the Walt Disney World Park and online at 8:55pm EST. Beauty and the Beast is now the Highest Grossing PG Film domestically, having fast tracked its way past multiple milestones and closing in on Frozen’s international take. Bob Iger has stated that he may be interested in running for President in the 2020 election. Tom Holland wins Lip Sync Battle for Life with his recent performance against Zendaya. The Gifted teaser was recently released teeing up the upcoming full length trailer on May 15th. Mission Breakout Teaser showed Rocket hijacking a Disney ad and asking for our assistance to freeing the other Guardians, which you can do starting May 27th. For those that want early access to this they can go for the Galactic Premier Party on May 26th for the cool price tag of $150, which runs from 7pm-1am with tons of goodies included in that ticket. We also got a sneak peak at Inhumans with the first teaser as well as a shot of the main cast from Entertainment Weekly. Although the costumes lacked a certain flair, we’re still excited for this show to come to IMAX in September. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the 16 Bit Last Jedi Trailer that Rian Johnson recently retweeted. We got our first look at the Han Solo Film with a set photo. Finally, we get a look at Kylo Ren’s TIE Fighter which means we may get to see if he inherited any of those amazing piloting skills.

Episode 198: Walt Wednesday – Disney Starts New Digital Network, Beauty and the Beast Hits Top Ten, and Are Disney and Netflix Breaking Up! (May 3, 2017)

Are Netflix and Disney breaking up? With the new Disney Digital Network launch, we will see a return of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse as a facebook show as well as Marvel and Star Wars specific content. Beauty and the Beast has knocked out A New Hope from the list of the Top Ten US Box office films OF ALL TIME! Bambi joins the Walt Disney Signature Collection on May 23rd with new bonus features. Ewan McGregor was passed over on Doctor Strange but for a completely different reason that you’d think. Over 100 special needs children were flown from NJ for a day at the happiest place on earth. Hong Kong Disney has opened their Explorers Lodge. The Rock is remaking the Jungle Cruise ride in cooperation with Disney Imagineers. Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge will feature as a firework viewing area, with an exclusive snack and drink experience. Disney reporting a possible Moana Volcano themed roller coaster coming to Adventureland. Disney World officially bans marijuana from its Orlando parks. Walt Disney World isn’t starting their own Uber service, unless by Uber you mean driverless cars.

Episode 197: Marvel Monday – Feige Talks Phase 4, Stan Lee, and Guardians Comes Out This Week! (May 1, 2017)

Welcome back Cast Members, to another Marvel Monday episode here at CLOUD CITY CAST!  

Kevin Feige is making the rounds as he promotes the next addition to the MCU as Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 hits theatres this Friday (and Thursday night for that matter). He also clarified what or who Stan Lee is in all those cameos he gets to make throughout the Marvel Universe. Phase 4 should kick off with the Untitled Avengers movie but as of yet there still isn’t any news of a title, but Feige says that it would be a spoiler. Black Panther has assembled and all star cast, and recently some footage was shown to critics who made quite a stir about two characters being viewed as flirtatious. Captain Marvel’s long search for a director has finally come to an end as a dynamic female and male duo who have been knocking it out of the park with their drama films may finally get their chance as a Marvel superhero!

Episode 196: Force Friday - Episode 9 Returns To May, Battlefront 2 Exclusives, and McDonalds Go To The Dark Side! (April 28, 2017)

Star Wars Battlefront 2 was recently announced at Celebration Orlando and seems like they’ve made significant improvements on the seemingly rushed original, with this upgrade featuring a preorder with Kylo and Rey. As the waning months bring us closer to the next installment of the Skywalker saga, episode 8 director Rian Johnson clarified his involvement with Episode 9. Emilia Clarke recently spoke about the trials and tribulations of being a part of some of the most secretive franchises in cinema history. John Knoll, the creator for the Rogue One concept, has been working on a new pitch for a Star Wars Anthology film. McDonalds was put through the proverbial internet fires recently with the reveal of their new employee uniforms which some may say have a hint of the Dark Side. We all love to cuddle up next to our loved ones as we tuck in for a perfect evening of pizza, Coca-Cola, and Star Wars, but now you might be able to do it in Tatooine style. The New York Philharmonic has set their dates for performances of John Williams iconic scores alongside screenings of all three Original Trilogy movies as well as The Force Awakens this fall.

Episode 195: Walt Wednesday -  Disney Upcoming Movie Release Dates, Descendants 2, and Timon & Pumbaa Have Their Voices! (April 26, 2017)

Disney just dropped a bunch of upcoming film dates from all branches of their empire and we’ll run through each of those for you to keep you all in the loop. The Lion King have reached final negotiations with voice artists for Timon and Pumbaa in the upcoming reimagining. Descendants 2 will have it’s premier this summer across multiple channels. Apple is not in fact trying to purchase Disney, probably because the price tag was too darn high (even for us). Cars 3 just dropped a brand new trailer the same day this episode was released so hopefully you’ve seen it multiple times by now. Radio Disney Music Awards are this Sunday at 7pm so make sure you tune in to catch all the action as well as Britney Spears receiving the Icon Award. Finally, Ming Na Wen has said that she would love to be a part of the upcoming Mulan live action film, but who will she play?

Episode 194: Marvel Monday – Cloak & Dagger Release First Trailer, Marvel Launches New Comic Events, and Feige Phases Out Phase 4 For Something New! (April 24, 2017)

We’re back at it with the latest and greatest out of the MCU and some new updates from Marvel Comics. We kicked it off talking about the first trailer that dropped for Cloak & Dagger this past week. Then we dive right into Kevin Feige’s recent comments concerning Phase 4 and the future of the MCU. Mission Breakout is nearing it’s opening date and we’ll talk about some of the music that we can expect to hear, as well as the set list for Vol 2 and a celebrity cameo that we can expect to see in one of the many post credit scenes. We’ll also talk Punisher and how we might be missing a very important character. We’ll also talk comics, especially Legacy, Generations and Astonishing X-Men and what we can expect from Marvel coming up.
