Hymn Talk Twin Talk

We are entering the Thanksgiving season! Happy Thanksgiving to our Hymn Talk Twin Talk listeners. We are THANKFUL for you and all your support. We love talking about hymns, singing hymns, and sharing hymns with others, so thank you for giving us the opportunity to do just that.

This week's hymn reminds us that God is with us. He promises us that He will never leave us, He will be with us until our journey's end. Psalm 103:19 - The Lord has established His throne in heaven and His kingdom over all. That gives us strength and hope and for that, we can be THANKFUL.

We have so many blessings in Christ Jesus!

Thank you for listening! If you can, please leave us a rating or a review, and please spread the word. #hymntalktwintalk

In this week's episode, Kerrie and Kellie discuss a beautiful hymn that reminds us... This is our temporary home, America is our temporary home, because the earth and everything in it belongs to God.

We pray that this hymn will bring you comfort and joy. Psalm 28:7 - The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him!

Kerrie and Kellie talk about a lot of stuff this week. From the Erie Canal to the water taxis in Baltimore, from pipe organs to stained glass, we hope that you will listen, learn, laugh, and sing along.

We are so excited to have Irish musician Mark Rooney lending us his musical talents this week. Please sing along!

This week is Election Week here in America! So, after you go out and VOTE, listen to this episode. We are discussing a much-loved hymn that is most commonly associated with our United States Navy, even though both the composer and text writer are British. This hymn is an excellent reminder that our God is the eternal Father whose strength will sustain us through all of life's troubles.

We will also discuss how music has been heard in the White House and how some of our former presidents have been very musical. Aunt Beatrice makes a brief appearance for the first time. Who knows if she'll be back in future episodes?

Psalm 104:33

We LOVE this HYMN!! This hymn has a lot of local connections for us. The words traveled from Canada, to California, to London, and then to Massachusetts, where they found their permanent home with a hymn writer here in Boston. Without a musician's training, this hymn writer edited hymnals, wrote hymns, and taught the people in his church to sing. His story is inspiring and very special to us!
