Coming to you recorded, from Vienna, Austria, this week Reilly and George are joined on the Hypothetical Island by cartoonist Mahmud Asrar! They talk teenaged sidekicks, murderous birds, early comics influences and a LOT of Conan the Barbarian. It's more fun than you can shake a Cimmerian broadsword at.

Reilly and George are joined this week on the Hypothetical Island once more by writer Fred Van Lente, for a talk on sleepiness, zombie apocalypses, being tired, baseball, exhaustion, philosophy and never sleeping. Speaking of, Fred talks about his new novel, Never Sleep, releasing soon, which tells the amazing true story of the world's first female private investigators and how they prevented the assassination of Abraham Lincoln!--well, not the Ford Theatre time, another attempt. 

This week Reilly and George welcome writer Dave Scheidt, co-creator of the Mayor Good Boy graphic novels,  to the Hypothetical Island for a discussion of pizza, Sasquatches,  the role of luck in breaking into comics,  various doomed little people in the Star Wars universe,  and the merits of dogs holding public office.  

Thsi week on the Hypothetical Island Reilly and George are joined once more by Leeanne Krecic, super-popular creator of the super-popular web comic Let's Play to talk her new, crowd-funding-as-I-type-this virtual dating game, Everdate! Half choose-your-own adventure, Half Collectible Card Game,  it captures all the fun, stress and horror of real life dating! Also, Leeane and the boys talk the usual silly hypothetical island stuff, like punching fish and whatnot. Listen now!

Reilly and George welcome cartoonist, playwright and noted-shirt-taker-offer Dean Haspiel back to the Hypothetical Island for a discussion on ghosts, reincarnation, carbuncles, Jack Kirby,  Chinese food, Vince Coletta vs Kevin Nowlan, and what to say to famous recluses. Dean also talks about his newest project, Covid Cop (kickstarting now!) and there's a special guest appearance by cartoonist Russ (Amazing Arizona Comics) Kazmierczak. 

Not a dream! Not a hoax! Reilly and George are once again visited on the ol' Hypothetical Island by Mr. Anthony Marques. Most of us have one job, maybe two but Anthony is a comics artist, writer, instructor, president of the Kubert School, proprietor of Dewey's Comic City, and knows 6 ways to kill a man with his bear hands. And no, I didn't misspell 'bare'-- the dude literally has bear claws for hands. That's worth a listen, right?

This week Reilly and George are joined by writer and editor Cam Kerkau , creator of the comic Gilgamesh:Eternal  with artist Kostas Pantoulas . Cam visits the ol' Hypothetical Island for a discussion of  secret plans for thriving after being thrown back in time to ancient Mesopotamia,  inner monologues,  the nature of immortality,  adapting myth to comics form, and the benefits of living in a Cher'd universe. 

Reilly and George are joined on the Hypothetical Island this week by cartoonist and sci-fi artist Kraig Rasmussen. They talk the joys of self-publishing, whether bonobos have hair,  their preferred undergarments, and why AI art blows. Kraig is in the final stages of the Zoop campaign for his two volume short story collection Odds and Ends; go support it!

This week's guest on the hypothetical Island is Paul Allor, talented writer of G.I. Joe, TMNT and the currently crowdfunding Pink Midnight Presents: The Butterfly House.
