It is obvious that we have been living in quite an emotional dark age, where emotional intelligence is not taught anywhere not even in early education. We are not taught how to deal with the more difficult emotions that don’t feel good, let alone understanding them.

The lack of emotional intelligence within the world has left many in a state of emotional numbness. No matter how smart or rich a person is, no one is able to escape the reality of life which comes with a vast ray of different human earthly emotions. With the help of emotional intelligence you succeed in feeling contentment with your life, you could be a billionaire but without the emotional intelligence you will continue to feel discontentment.

As a human on earth you are designed to experience the full spectrum of emotions fluctuating between the different states. Since emotional intelligence was not taught in early education, many of us have experienced similar realities while not having an open conversation about these things, thereby leading to the belief that are experiencing this alone or that something must be wrong with us for having such a difficult time with emotions all together.

When talking about mental and emotional health I think it is important to understand that no one consciously and willingly choses to be depressed or anxious, even if their inner dialog is down-putting and spirals them deeper into the depression and anxiety.

We all have these habitual thought processes and impulses of further driving ourselves deeper into our mental and emotional pain by what we tell ourselves in our inner dialog with our subconscious programming. No one really wants to be stuck looping in painful and harsh mental and emotional energies, nonetheless it happens and many times we further drive ourselves deeper into such dense states.
