I AM PASTOR DEB

We Want To Hear From YOU!

Jesus came to set the standard, to be the example.  As believers, we are to strive to submit to the standard he exemplified.  In order to effectively do that we have to know, understand, and embrace His characteristics.  This recording is of our bible study discussion concerning just that.

This Bible study helps to provide clarity as to who Jesus was, why he came, and why He was so significant.  We address the simplest way to understand the Trinity and the foundation of Christianity.

There are approximately 18 inches between our brains and our hearts.  Many people know of God, have embraced the concept of God, but never enter into a relationship with God, never allow Him to be the center of their heart.  Balaam was one of those people, he was a prophet, communed with God regularly, but because of his desire for money and prosperity, he never allowed God to be the center of his heart.  There are valuable lessons in the story of Balaam.

Happy Father's Day!  This message is to African Americans as we come to position ourselves for better, dealing with our history, our legacy, and our future.  Let's talk about the images of Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben, but let's also talk about the mistral shows of today, for today we are writing the history of what will be in the books for our children's children.  We are phenomenal people.  We are resilient people. It is not enough for us to pray and kick back, believing that God is going to bring miracles to our feet.  The word of God says that faith without works is dead. It is time we began to align our works with our faith so that what we have been praying about is manifested in our lives.  God will not bless what we don't think is worthy of our effort, without our effort there is no assurance we are prepared to handle the blessing we are looking for, and God will certainly not give us more than we can handle. Shut down lazy faith and justify your faith by your works.

Pray is more than a submission of our wishlist to God.  Pray is our gateway to establishing, solidifying, and maintaining a relationship with Him.  And just like when our cellphones began to go crazy, dropping calls, unable to hold a signal, we take them back to our carriers and get an upgrade.  It's time we upgraded our prayer life with the Almighty, the benefits include fewer prayers dropped, clearer communication with the King of Kings, and an unfailing signal of connection.

After ministering the sermon, "Every Prayer" I extended a challenge to the congregation, to set aside 10 minutes, twice a day to spend with God.  Turning off radio, tv, and cellphones.  This playlist was composed to be a preamble to that designated time, to usher them into the very presence of God where they could commune and fellowship with the Almighty.
