In this episode of "I Art Asheville" we spoke with visual artist and musician Matthew Decker. This was a great talk that included how we, as a people, can use this shut down as a positive opportunity to advance worker's rights before we all head back into work at the end of the quarantine. We also discusses Matt's brand new musical project called "Guy Roswell" and his creative influences for that project. Of course, it wouldn't be a great talk until we added some magick into the conversation, so we had to discuss Matthews past life regression experience, the prevalence of cats in his paintings and how they have some paranormal tendencies, my ufo sightings, Panspermia, Paul Stamets, bees and cryptocurrency! On today's episode we feature visual artist and art therapist Darcy Wade! This was an informative talk where we discussed the varying modalities of art therapy and how one can incorporate some of it's common practices into their own life. We also spoke about the importance of nature, Darcy's newly sober lifestyle, and addiction and how it affects each person differently. You know the episode wouldn't be complete if we didn't get a little fringe; those topics included forest bathing, the phenomenon of Clairvoyance and her many iterations, as well as frequencies and auric cleansing through bass music! On this episode of "I Art Asheville" we spoke with the rainbow sheep herself, Hannah Martin of Ofmars.com! Hannah is a crocheter extraordinaire, and this was a really interesting talk for me, being such a novice when it comes to the world of crochet. We spoke about what it was like growing up in rural Alabama with a politician mother and no TV allowed! We discussed all things yarn, where to source, and how to dye your own. We chatted about Hannah's online business and what its like running her own website after years of making a living on the Etsy platform. Pattern making, imagining children's storybooks and even Machu Pichu were of the many interesting topics we explored! So much fun! Hope you enjoy it!
