When I’m talking about humans I never use the word “race” to refer to people groups. And why not? Well, because the Bible teaches that everyone is descended from Adam and Eve, there’s only one race, the human race.
Now, obviously, people look different from one another. Why is that…if we’re all one race? Well, that has to do with the incredible amount of genetic diversity God put into Adam and Eve, the first two people he made. That genetic diversity means there’s variation in skin shade, eye shape, and more.
But because we come from one man and woman, there’s only one race. So let’s rid the word “races” from our vocabulary!
