Cam and I met when we were working together overseas, and from the very first time we spoke I knew we were going to be friends. He's the definition of a very good egg.

When he was smaller he showed me how to hear my own blood, and when I babysat him last year he taught me how to make popcorn from just kernels in the microwave. Rea is my oldest friend. We met on the first day of high school, and have been getting into and out of scrapes ever since. We drove around the U.S. together when we were 20, and somehow survived. It's still one of the best things I've ever done, and there's nobody else I would have wanted to be with. Now we're boring grown ups, and somehow still friends, and that's very, very nice.

I don't see my Aunt Cindy very often, she lives in the US and I'm in Australia, but I never feel so welcome as when I visit her.
