We have weddings and hurricanes happening this week y'all. Pray for us!

This week we discussed the final week of wedding planning, kissing in front of parents, the pressure to not fumble the bag, and if we are still allowed to call Brittney "BP " 👀. The gag is that we did it all while Chrissa was in the middle of preparing for her first hurricane (#hurricaneida) and it's going to be a big one.

Hurricane Ida is scheduled to make landfall, as a category 4 hurricane, on the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina (August 29th). Keep Louisiana and Mississippi in your prayers this week and be sure to send up extra prayers for those who are unhoused, those that didn't have the means/ability to evacuate, the first responders, and city and state officials.

Please Note: This episode was recorded on August 27th, two days before the hurricane was scheduled to reach the coast of Louisiana.

The reaction some people had to Simone Biles and Naomi Osaka was just another reminder that, as Black women, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't. If the top athletes in the world are taking a step back for their mental health, then the rest of us should too and we aren't apologizing for putting ourselves first anymore. PERIOD.
