In Episode 85 of Idea Diary - Today, I talked things I learned about mistakes while talking on a daily podcast.
Stop smacking my lips

Don’t breathe close to the mic as I breathe in my mouth and out my nose.

Get to point fast when starting

Pause a long pause after making a mistake for easier editing

Annunciate

If I feel like I am rambling, getting off topic, or losing the point, I stop myself, and get back on track

I think about talking to one person that appreciates me, and all my oddness as I am doing a show. I don’t think about a large audience listening while I am recording.

I’m trying to stop using “transition phrases” like SO, AND, KNOW WHAT I MEAN?, SO ANYWAYS, AND UMMMM, & YEAH. I say these words constantly for no reason, and it’s really annoying. I am trying to stop that.

If I start a sentence a little confusing or make a mistake, I just take a long pause, and start the sentence over.

Sometimes, I will start a sentence, interrupt myself with a new train of thought, and start a new sentence very fast. I try to recognize when I do this, and make a correction if I can.

October 05, 2020Ep. 82- Let's Discuss a Problem/Solution Scripting Meditation Technique, and Idea Confidence
In Episode 82 of Idea Diary - Today, I talked about some new ideas in my head, so it’s a little bit of a ramble, but what’s new!
This new problem solving technique worked for me recently having an issue with a friend, and I wanted to share it with you.
It has three steps.
Write out a list of everything you are unhappy with at least two mornings in a row after sleeping on the problem.

Write the best outcome or solution you really want from confronting the person, or talking out the problem.

Spend a few days not worrying about the problem, and just think about how wonderful it would be if the solution was your reality.
Taking a moment with these steps seemed to solve the problem on its own with almost no effort on my part. The person came to me within the week to talk about a totally different issue with someone else, and we got to have a nice conversation that included some of the issues that I wanted to discuss. I got my problem solved with ease without having to have harsh conversation about “problems,” it all just worked out itself with ease.
