In Episode 17 of Idea Diary - Today, I dive in about researching more about the story of Mo’Nique. She has had some super public battles about working for free and cheap on projects…. and I feel like the woman has some knowledge about the situation I am trying to figure out right now for myself. Should you NEVER work for free, even on your own projects???? How much “working for free or cheap” is just too much, and it’s time to have higher expectations for your own success. I’m thinking and researching friends… thanks for joining in on the conversation. Also, just a a reminder to TAKE CHANCES! What are you afraid of? Why by so embarrassed to try something new you want to try. There is no penalty to suck, and remember you don’t have to announce to the world about what you are doing. I’ve recently discover Gumroad’s CEO Sahil Lavingia, and think you should totally spend time listening to some of his interviews on Youtube. I really like the specific interview by Noah Kagan. In Episode 10 of Idea Diary - I discuss a some business news! Twitter announces they are working from home forever! Unicef announces they are pulling all social media ads until 2021! Major tech companies announce they don’t care if you have a degree! Also, I got a real comment from an actual real person.
