Meet Tanya. She is a combat veteran having served in the Marine Corps from 2006 to 2015. Following her service, she got her Master of Social Work degree from USC and continues to serve in a different capacity now. She currently works with military and veteran caregivers though a non-profit organization, Yellow Ribbon Fund. Tanya will be sharing some of her own experiences about domestic violence and abuse in the military and some short comings she experienced regarding the military culture.

Rest in Peace to Corporal Michael Guzy, the Marine mentioned in this week’s episode who tried to seek help for mental health related issues and was labeled weak. He passed on July 18, 2015 following a tragic accident.
