We dare you to join us in looking at the popular events of history in a different light: specifically, one that is not white-washed for your 8th grade history books. In our very first two-parter, we hear the story from Lincoln’s side: his first term, his re-election, the bloody end of the Civil War and the politics involved, and then, what should have been a delightful night at the theatre. Audrey will also dive into the anti-racist work that Ford’s Theatre is doing, and how they protect the legacy of our country’s history through their extensive teaching aides. Light about 10,000 candles in celebration (and then sorrow), and listen to the details of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
Next week in Part 2: an actor gets his comeuppance.
