So what's up with professional athletes today?  $20-$30-$40 million dollars a year and they want to leave they're teams?  That's not enough?  Sports betting is  changing the way players decide on their longevity and loyalty to a team, in my opinion.  And now, Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay.  Really?  When is enough enough and when does management at the team level get back in control?  Aren't they the ones paying the salaries after all?  What do you think?  Are you inclined to watch more or less sports today than you did just a few years back?  Let me know.

Yes, the entire NBA is talking about it and every NBA fan is keenly aware of it.  That was the score when the Utah Jazz visited the Sacramento Kings on Wed.  What do you call that? It's beyond embarrassing. I call it gutless.  The Kings did not come out to play and it showed.  Two good things:  They've insured their place at the bottom of the league's defenses without a doubt and they've absolutely guaranteed another losing season.  Here's the good news that Kings fans can be assured of, like the last 14 years in a row, they can now say it one more time...there's always next year.  Do you think the fans in the arena asked for their money back? Why such little heat on Lebron James for his tweet earlier this week about putting a bullseye on the back of a police officer?  Why no comment from the NBA?  Lebron is a phenom when it comes to the sport of basketball, but he's a destructive  force when it comes to social issues.  Could his 50 million followers make an impact if he asked?  Could he help rather than deter?  Could the African American community benefit from his endorsement?  Hear my opinion and observation of his hypocrisy in today's podcast.

The big day is finally here and we're going to be inundated with all the drafts and picks from the various teams.  Sure, it's going to be interesting.  And entertaining.  And in some ways completely stupid.  Teams and picks are going to get "graded".  That's right. Like in grammar school.  Let's call it old school.  Just look at teams and picks that got high "grades" last year and see what that meant for them as the season wore on.  Not so much.  Right? How about 2018 "grades" for the Jets and the Cardinals?  A's and A+'s. Hey, I'm not kidding.  Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen.  A's.  As in really good grades.  And where are they now?  How did that work out.  So what about those "grades".  Retro-"grades" F.  Let's talk about it on today's rant.

Yes, I'm talking to you, Kings fans. The team gets you excited when they win a few in a row, then they disappoint you by loosing a few in a row and the roller coaster of emotion goes on through the season until it's just about over.  When you want the team to win, they lose.  And now when you want the team to lose, they win themselves right out of a good draft pick.  There's a little more to it all than that and I'll share my thoughts on it in Today's rant.

OK, it's a big day Thursday no matter which team you favor.  But remember, no matter who your team picks, especially if it's a team called the Forty Niners and no matter which QB they decide on, my bet is Mack Jones but that's beside the point, it's going to take time.  Don't expect a hero in the first season.  Don't go gettin' all fired up because it wasn't your guy.  Just enjoy the process, get excited and let's see where it all settles out. And remember, getting a young QB into the system takes time.  Might even take a year.  So lighten up a bit and let's see where it all goes.

You read that right.  The Knicks have won 9 in a row and are now 4th in the division and lead the league in least points allowed per game.  What about the Sacramento Kings you ask?  Last in the league with points allowed per game.  As in no defense.  But hey, the analytics guys will get it figured out.  Not a problem.  And then there's those "Insane" Atlanta Hawks.  Since that Rick Carlisle dubbed "insane" move to make a coaching change, the Hawks have gone 19-7.  I'll bet you Kings fans would love to have a little bit of that insanity, wouldn't you?  And now the Hawks are ranked 5th in the division.  That's not to mention it's all with a little help from a player by the name of Bogdan Bogdanovich.  Oh yeah.  That guy.  From what team??? You guessed it, the Sacramento Kings. Hear what I've got to say about it all on today's rant.

To me, the Oakland A's are the most under appreciated team in Major League Baseball.  They've just won 11 straight, have more wins than any other team in the American League and nobody says boo.  Why are they invisible year in and year out?  Bob Melvin, in my opinion, is one of the best coaches who just knows how to put a team together, how to coach and how to consistently field a competitive team.  Unfortunately, it's in a market that doesn't seem to care.  Or a league that doesn't seem to care.  Or fans that don't seem to care.  No why do you think that is?  Let me know your thoughts on it.
