When a Christian has unconfessed sin, does God choose not to listen to their prayers until they ask for forgiveness? This is something I was taught growing up in fundamentalism, but would like some clarity. -Daniel

If a professing Christian husband is verbally and physically abusing his wife, is it considered a betrayal, a lack of submission, defiance, or otherwise sinful/inappropriate for her to go to the pastor for counsel without telling her husband? -Anonymous

My girlfriend, who is 18, has grown up in a very strict skirts-only and King James Version-only household. She doesn’t agree with these restrictions and I fully support her convictions, but her parents do not. How should she go about telling her parents that she wishes to wear pants and use another Bible translation, even though they won’t let her? -Matthew
