  • Phantom Blade Zero Is the Next Big Thing - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:Phantom Blade Zero has sold 4 million (!) copies in just three days, and it's a sure bet we've seen the birth of a new franchise. In other news, Nintendo has revealed the development team behind The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake: Entertainment Planning & Development Production Group No. 3. While not exactly a household name, they've been behind every major Zelda game for the past 30 years, so the remake is in good hands. And we’ve got a peek at the five immersive worlds of the all-new Universal Epic Universe, and one of its featured attractions – Stardust Racers, all at Universal Orlando Resort. • Why EA Chose Star Wars Over Mass Effect and Closed BioWare - IGN Daily Fix
In today's Daily Fix:A new report from Bloomberg claims EA had to choose between Star Wars and Mass Effect, which resulted in the closure of BioWare. EA is facing financial pressure due to the $18 billion debt it took on during the Saudi buyout. The company then only had enough budget to back one big sci-fi game, and they chose Star Wars Battlefront 3 as the safer bet. In other news, Gears of War: E-Day has moved only 400,000 copies across Xbox and PC, a relatively low number for a marquee franchise. The Verge is reporting that Game Pass is the cause of low sales, as the game was a Day One launch title for the service. And finally, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is getting a New Game Plus update six years after the game first dropped. Ubisoft says more updates are planned.
